There's a reason why most parodies and deconstructions don't actually use the characters from the story they are targeting.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I like Miracleman but its funny how horribly edgy it comes across.
Like all those wacky adventures in the original Marvelman comics? All a simulation, none of that happened. The Marvel boys were instead government experimented supersoldiers and the wacky superhero adventures were simulations designed to make them more obedient for the British military.
If that came out now it would be ripped for basically being edgy fan-fiction.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Well yeah if you tell people they can stream it in a couple of weeks that tends to happen.
They might want to space the streaming release for a few months or something if that's gonna happen.
Wake me up at your own risk. Why the box office is already dead. Not even Ant Man did this bad.
Mileena MadnessI meant more as a future measure, really. If they see the movie going soon into streaming as an obstacle for the box office.
Wake me up at your own risk.box office is dead because they sabotaged it from the start though.
WB, famously of the "we're going to put all our 2021 movies on streaming after 45 days" strategy, learned pretty quick that even 45 days cuts significantly into BO returns. They sent it out to die.
I watched DND last weekend instead of this, and my original plan was to watch this tomorrow. But now I'm like maybe I should just save my money.

And DC isn't exactly in condition to create flops, really...
Wake me up at your own risk.45 days is them learning their lesson in 2022. 2021 was the year that every single theatrical release was released for free on streaming that day.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. After seeing the movie I would say it is comparable in quality to the first film. Main criticism would be the heroes vs villains interplay is overly convoluted and desperate to keep the large cast involved, but the film as a whole is trying to be fun and so there is enough amusement value even in the slower moments. A carryover from the first film I didn't like was leaning into the Idiot Hero aspect with Billy, but thankfully it's more "Did not expect that to be a thing because he doesn't know all the rules of magic" rather than "Being stupid and selfish causing a lot more problems."
What I did really like from the first film was the glimpses of the otherworldly and supernatural elements behind the Wizard and the Rock of Eternity, which this film doubles down on to great effect. Shazam fights a dragon and we get loads of mythological creatures spawning in. The action sequence and visual effects are also a step up, playing into comic book imagery more than generic CG battles. Costume design was a lot more compelling, where the lightning bolt and cuffs look more ornamental instead of vacuform plastic with LED lights underneath. I also liked the character arc Billy undergoes, the way he feels obligated to be the leader but innately turns to Mary for advice since she is older and more mature, and finally having to step up and use his own intelligence and sense of empathy to resolve the problem.
Do you not know that in the service one must always choose the lesser of two weevils!Fury of the Gods now available for purchase on digital platforms. There's a 10 minute preview officially provided by WB.
Is it good if a movie goes on digital a few weeks after its theatrical release?
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!not really,it means it will soon stop playing in theatres, which in turn means a smaller box office
New theme music also a boxNot always the case, especially since a lot of pandemic titles have had shorter theater to digital (not physical home) releases. As a reminder, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish had its digital release in early January, only a week or two after its US debut in theaters in late December. Though to that film's credit, it benefited from good word of mouth and lasting theatrical legs to remain profitable in theaters and the digital download market.

Another example is Disneys Strange World did better on Disney+ than the barely advertised theater version for example.
Disneys been seeing a lot of its movies doing better on the Streaming Service over theaters.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. To be fair though, Disney barely advertised Strange World, which led to it doing poorly in the box office. If Disney had did a better job at advertising Strange World, then the movie would have done a bit better at the box office, regardless of its content.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Got the dvd of Fury of the Gods for Christmas and watched it. Here are some disjointed stream of consciousness thoughts.
I enjoyed it. Even though I'd spoiled myself of pretty much all the surprises/cameos, I still got pretty teared up at Billy's death. That resurrection though... super quick but fun.
The gag where they deliberately don't show Gal's face in her first scene and then not at first at the end before scrolling up was good, would be better if I hadn't spoiled myself though, ah well.
The character arcs were more show don't tell especially for Billy. The kid actor's aging was very obvious. Even though not watched the first one for aaaages.
Everyone spends way too much time powered up presumably because working with adult actors is much easier. Freddie's the only one with really significant depowered time.
I was surprised when I checked the box and realised that really is Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu as the villains. They didn't exactly elevate the material to be honest.
The film relied a little too much on lampshade hanging and tell don't show for the characters for my liking.
Still overall enjoyable. Didn't exactly deserve to bomb hard imo.
I like Rachel Zegler as Anthea and wanted to highlight her, especially the scene when Wonder Woman shows up and she looks at Freddy for fawning over her. I like to imagine her saying: "Dude, that's my stepmother!" Haha.
Also, I like that Black Adam got his own movie because then if he had appeared in a Shazam! movie, the audience would've already gotten to know him beforehand and it would've highlighted the experience.

Slimcoder It seems to be that deconstructions don't actually 'deconstruct' anything, they insert things which weren't in the original story and then act like the original story is stupid because of it. In other words, they're a strawman.
