New video covering Chainsaw Man, or part one of Chainsaw Man to be more accurate. Does contain spoilers for like, the entirety of the part although there is adequate warning beforehand.

Huh. It’s been a while since he covered mainstream stuff.

"...the part where two teenagers kick a man in the dick until he dies."

I don't know if this series sounds hilarious or unbearably bleak.

One thing I'm surprised he didn't mention, considering his previous video, is that the story includes characters getting trapped in an infinitely-looping hotel floor, and the ED of that episode is flat-out called "In the Backroom" (and is still my favorite ED out of the 10 so far).

Happy Winter Solstice, everyone!

Of course, this turned into a Halloween episode out of nowhere.

…And I’m realizing that a lot of SEW’s post-2019 videos are horror-themed in some way. The Garfield one, Thread of Blood, Liminal Spaces, Nathan Fielder (kinda), Chainsaw Man, this one… and of course, his Shenmue 3 and Dell Customer Service episodes.

I find it hard to disagree with his criticisms about the treatment this part got. I think that the Netflix block drops really hurt the overall hype of the season, and the visual design was quite risk averse. That's not to say that I hated Stone Ocean or anything. I especially think the voice cast was excellent. But could it have gotten a little bit more "pop" when it came to the animation? Absolutely yes.

His WWE video is going to be a fun watch, assuming he can ever get it out of copyright hell.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who liked the Westwood vs Jolyne fight.

I loved it as well, it's nice to see a return to some of the Good Old Fisticuffs of the early parts in the Stand portions, and from a female shounen protag in a distinct aversion of Guys Smash, Girls Shoot no less. Likewise, for all my issues with Jojolion I did enjoy the fact that Josuke would utilize hand-to-hand combat in encounters as well.

No wonder other streaming services are just sticking to the traditional weekly format for releases.

The Netflix binge model was novel when it first started, but is genuinly terrible for any kind of viewer retention.

Yeah a lot of the fun from the anime fandom was lost due to the Binge dump format. No one had any time to build up hype or speculate, and thus they had no reason to pay attention to when Netflix would release new episodes.

So has anyone noticed that most of SEW's videos are kinda...gone?

Or at least I can't find most of them on mobile.

Odd. I just pulled up Google Chrome on my laptop and all the videos were there. But on mobile, most of them aren't unless I dig up a link on Discord or something, and even then when I looked at his Riverdale video on my phone, it looked all weird. No description, no ability to comment on the video, no channel name or anything.

Is this something YouTube does?

most websites aren't even designed to run on mobile,so what you have in it's place is something that's nearly always half arsed because of the work involved in maintaining them

but in youtubes case it sounds like poor layout design or bandwidth issues

@Red Hunter 543: Riverdale is probably my favorite episode of his.

Oh my God, he's also a serial killer and he's in love with the first serial killer brother!

Yeah seeing Super Eyepath Wolf's sanity degrade with Riverdale was hilarious.

Though TBF, that IS the standard reaction to Riverdale.

[up][up]The funny thing is that Riverdale isn't really all that weird compared to its source material. The Archie comics could get into pretty batshit territory.

Riverdale makes a lot more sense once you realize it's just a live action adaptation of a really weird comic.
