Reading Peyo's Smurfs. Oddly enough, I'm hearing the voices from the Hanna-Barbera adaption speaking French (I'm bilingual). It feels clear and well pronounced. If Painter Smurf was a character in Peyo's original comic, things might get awkward.
Oddly enough, this doesn't happen when going from Japanese audio in anime to their source material's translation in English. I wonder why.
Even as a kid, I remember reading Bone with Fone Bone as Matthew Broderick and Smiley Bone as undeniably Goofy.
I’m sorry, but you have Stage 9 Animes. After the release of Invincible on Amazon Prime, I can't stop reading Omni-Man without channeling my inner J. K. Simmons. Ditto for Peacemaker, even if I don't read the comics, his go-to voice for me has always been John Cena with the release of him as DLC for Mortal Kombat 1.

Everything that lives is designed to end...I read Cheshire as sounding like Kelly Hu and Ms. Martian as sounding like Danica McKellar thanks to Young Justice (2010).
Part of me does wonder how, given he replaced the late Michael Clarke Duncan as Manute for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, Dennis Haysbert would work as the Kingpin.
