Would the Laconic/ redirects list be helpful here? I've been going through these pages because rename efforts make these inbound-less pages redirects for some reason and I've been cutlisting a lot of them. I mean, using the list to go to the Main/ page's related list, etc.
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyThanks, any help is useful :-)
The list is not very long, though but some of them are definitely in need of clean-up.
Renamed Tropes seems to be a good place to look for these tropes. Also those tropes that go through the unified appearance thread in long-term projects.
Incredibly Lame Pun is now just Pun and there is a list of associated tropes. Incredibly Lame Pun is now on 8473. Over 8 thousand! Dear lord.
I guess any help with the clean-up would be much appreciated, but it is a part of wiki that feels like work and is definitely less fun than other troping.
Don't bother with the ILP wicks, they are a type of bad link we have given up on.

Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)Nakama is back up to about 30 wicks. Since I did a substantial amount on the original cleanup, and have personally taken it back down to zero more than once since, I'm willing to let someone else take the lead this time.
Important points to note: the term never really meant what we thought, which is why we renamed it, so references to use of the word in actual Japanese should probably just be de-wicked. Beyond that, we now have several subtropes, so you may want to check to see which (if any) is the best fit.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee. All the Crowning Moment tropes continue to get wicks, but I'm pretty sure those go alongside ILP in the "we've given up" pile.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Cleaned up Crowning Moments Of Heartwarming (the plural) because it had only 24 wicks.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Rape Is Love used to be a redirect to Rape Stockholm Syndrome, which is now cut. There's still 60+ wicks to it. Mentioning it here in case it's forgotten and more wicks come through.
(I was going through archived discussions.)
Also, I notice that this article was brought up in 8 and it apparently had over 60 wicks when it was reported. I got it down to 54. [Edit: It's now at 45 wicks.] [EDIT (12/7): Rape Is Love now has only 1 ghost redirect.]
There's also Rape Tropes, which is now Sexual Harassment and Rape Tropes. May be worth keeping an eye on it.

Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyDouble posting because it's been a while.
The Dev Team Thinks of Everything was renamed ages ago to Developer's Foresight. We finally got the wicks to an effective 0, but people are still wicking to it. I just removed 6 wicks. I'll probably be a while until it's totally normalized... Mentioning here for a quick and easy link to the related to page.
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyNew one: Bob Haircut has about 40 wicks. It's not supposed to have examples — it was decided in TRS that this hair style is not a trope (women sometimes wear bobs — people sit on chairs). There are two tropes, however — Scifi Bob Haircut and '20s Bob Haircut.
- Bob Haircut is done.

I know TDTTOE can't be cut (50k+ inbounds), but it should probably be deliberate-redlinked to prevent new wicks.
Today I've come across Big Damn Villains. It mentions two tropes to use instead:
- Bad Guys Do the Dirty Work: When the bad guys advance the plot by doing amoral things the heroes refuse to do.
- Villainous Rescue: When characters that usual act as villain rescues the heroes.
The page was not indexed, so I put it on Ambiguity Index.
It has over 300 wicks.
Crowning Moments are on the Wick Namespace Migration page as things to be moved. We haven't finished their migration yet.
EDITED: Looks like we finished the migration for non-complex pages, at last.

Keeper of The Celestial FlameI cleaned The Dev Team Thinks of Everything, removing about a dozen wicks.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Heroic Sociopath now has only 5 remaining wicks: 2 archived, 1 on Ambiguity Index, and two correct Administrivia wicks. It's apparently supposed to be a red link, but it's not displaying properly. Same with Hot Mom and Hot Dad, all three of which are disambiguation pages.
Is the page kept around for catching inbounds, per Administrivia.Locked Pages, or to help clean up remaining wicks, per Administrivia.Permanent Red Link Club?

Contains 20% less fat than the leading value brand!Dead Man Switch wicks haven't been moved yet. (Should be Dead Man's Switch, there's another S in there.)
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.I'm still seeing entries for Most Wonderful Sound in YMMV pages. This is during cleanup for two other cleanup efforts.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportAnd we still have Everything's Even Worse with Sharks wicks going around.
The redirect without the contraction will be cleaned out and cutlisted.
Edit: Done with the "is" version, and cut. Only wick left was an archive wick. I would deal with the 's one, but I'm busy purging the cephalopod snowclone. Luckily that is almost done.

she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportKuudere still has 88 wicks pointing at it
My troper wall*sigh* I finished up the wick cleaning for Kuudere in July (see history for TRS Wick Cleaning), so it's attracted 60+ wicks since. I'm not doing them again... right now...

Hello, I have noticed that certain popular but problematic (non)tropes that were renamed or redefined, or made into an idex of related tropes are still being used on some pages.
Case in point: White-Haired Pretty Boy (any white-haired young male character) was changed to White Hair, Black Heart (white-haired attractive guy who is evil/villain of the story).
White-haired Pretty Boy was not cut, I suppose because of the high number of links to the page. Some people still trope it, and most of it is misuse, or they list both the new and old name on the page. I have been checking this particular page for a while, and I have been removing the links, but it just won't go. Today I have removed 12 wicks.
Similar issue: Badass Longhair: I think about a year ago I removed most of the links or swapped it with those appropriate ones. Today there are 48 wicks. Grr.
I checked randomly Hot Mom, because I remember it from the TRS discussion. It is an index now and shouldn't be used as a trope. 28 wicks.
I suppose most if not all former tropes on Renamed Tropes or on Ambiguity Index will have the same issue.
I'd like to start this thread to keep an eye on these tropes together, and also record what was cleaned or report if somebody needs help with something particularly bad.
