If Jon chooses not to associate, that's not an unreasonable decision to make. Its a little absurd to expect anything of anyone in this situation. Especially as outside observers

And I don' think the TRG backlog is an urgent concern in these circumstances. That's the least of the situation right now.

Worst case scenario is that Jon has blocked Emile altogether. But I think it's most likely a mutual unfollow on Emile's part, who has explicitly said that he doesn't want his friends to stay away from him. I wouldn't blame Jon for not wanting to associate with Emile anymore, but it would be kind of depressing if their friendship is damaged beyond repair. I guess we just have to wait to see if Emile makes good on his promise to fix himself.

Edit: It's a false alarm. I checked and Emile still follows Jon.

Best to give a tldr on that, but I can provide it.

She knows that Emile did much wrong and that he has a lot to answer for, but she will not stop being a fan of his. She also brings up the Lawly conversation and, while she agrees that it was wrong and very poor judgement on Emile's part, points out how fucked up 2010 internet humor was among both teenagers and adults, and how that likely influenced both Lawly and the 19 year old Emile in their conversations. She is saddened by the fallout and the amount of people distancing themselves from Emile, because she believes him to still be redeemable and not a bad person. Amber knows that many people will disagree with her and expects a lot of pushback, but she felt the need to make her statement anyways.

According to Nintendo Capri Sun, the reason Chugga hasn't said anything since his Facebook apology is he's under doctor's orders to stay off social media for the time being.

That's for the best. Tim's a real one for keeping us updated and for holding Emile accountable.

I hope Masae returns eventually, after the dust settles. I feel so bad for her.

According to Tim, Emile is leaving Youtube for an unspecified amount of time, anywhere from several months to the rest of his life. Even Emile himself doesn't know. (Considering that his editor dropped him it'll be a while.)

Tim also said he and Emile will still keep in touch while the latter is in Scottland with his girlfriend. He's also keeping in touch with his therapists.

So we have that confirmation for his channel. So I guess two weeks from today, he goes up on RoleEndingMisdemeanor.Web Original, as sad as it is to say.

I watched some Jon's stream last night, and he made a few indirect mentions of Emile that seem to imply that Jon's feelings are more figured out than before, but he won't make any statement until things are more certain. The scary thing is that Jon had a dream where he was told that life was about to come at him hard...and woke up on the day that Lady Emily made her accusation. Another more recent dream of Jon's apparently had Jon with a group of YouTube friends hanging out at an airport. Jon explicitly omitted the ending of the dream, which I assume had Emile doing something, but otherwise didn't seem too bothered by it. Even if Jon's current feelings on Emile are unclear at this time, he at least seems to be healing from this.

I do wonder if Emile has had any contact with Jon or indeed any of his friends other than Tim since getting out of rehab. I don't know of any of them feel comfortable talking to Emile, but it might be necessary to figure out how the future will proceed.

Most important thing though is that Jon probably has powers now. I'm telling you all, weird shit is happening in his dreams, and they're likely connected to WWIII trending on Twitter. Jon might be the only one who can save us all from whatever is coming next.

In regards to things going forward, I think there's a good chance Jon will retire the TRG brand but keep hosting events like Colosseum and Thrown Controllers under his own name and with many of the same people involved. This is just my opinion but doing charity work like that is a good cause and I think most people would be in favor of him continuing without Emile being involved.

Isn't WWIII always trending on Twitter at this point?

On topic, yeah, I don't think Emile is showing his face in public anymore. Maybe Tim will still interact with him behind the scenes, but his time as Chuggaa is essentially over. He may still find another way to be active online though, but in the further future, and definitely as somebody else (likely to never even speak).

Yeah, there is always a possibility that he can come back. Others have come back from worse, and he's stepping away voluntarily. The only question is whether or not he will want to come back and whether or not his friends will want to associate with him again. He will need to spend a long time figuring out who "Emile" is before he can think about becoming "Chuggaaconroy" again.

And others have ignored worse and continued. The fact that he's getting help puts him above most people.

Side note: Tim said that the people who wish that Chugga was dead make Tim feel more threatened than Chugga ever did.

I also looked both channels up on Social Blade. TRG has lost 4000 subscribers, and Chugga himself has lost 30,000. People are still watching the videos on both channels, though.

Indeed. While it would be better to learn this wasn't okay sooner rather than later, or straight up not do this period, redemption isn't impossible for him.

Even the severity of these things doesn't necessarily mean his on screen persona was a facade.

Yeah on second thought I'm just unnecessarily preaching to the choir, so I'll delete that post.

Not going to do any good if another person quotes them.

Anyway, Jon did say during Saturday's stream that Colosseum will most likely happen this year. Whether that will continue under the TRG branding or even be called Colosseum remains to be seen. Disc Only Podcast is also scheduled for Feb. 6th, so I'm guessing Jon will make a statement after that.

@SatoshiBakura: Another scary coincidence is that Emile's last tweets before this started were about him dreaming he went back to high school and being excited that his science teacher was CGP Grey, before he turned out to be a huge jerk. Emile even called it "a 'never meet your heroes' moment".

We're not obligated to speculate that. We just report the facts.

Also speculating too much would run afoul of the rules for discussing this stuff as I'd understand them.

Mods have repeatedly warned about that kind of speculation in this thread specifically. And that is also just a weird and tasteless way to say that.
