Trope Launch Pad draft cleanup

I say the Trope Launch Pad has way too many drafts that are very old and haven't been touched since as early as 2011 and they're taking up so much server space, so I suggest doing a major cleanup of the TLP.

As of this writing, it has a total of 9419 drafts.

Here's how we should clean up the TLP:

• Go to the last page in the TLP and look at each draft, and review them carefully.
  • If a draft has examples that are already covered by another trope, is possibly becoming Flame Bait or NSFW, or if no one else wants to take over the draft, they should probably be discarded.
  • If it has little or no examples, an insufficient description, or an insufficient title, it should probably be put Up For Grabs—having someone else take over the draft and make it better enough to get launched.
  • If it has a good title, description, and a sufficient number of examples, but has not yet been launched or does not yet have enough hats to be so, a Do We Have This One should be added to the top of the page.

This is just common sense. Get the backlog cleaned out.

It has good intentions, but to some tropers, necro-ing can push their peeves. Plus you're biting out more than you could chew with these drafts. I mean, like what they said, one at a time.

Add: Plus, some of the bumps from the 2011 drafts stated No New Stock Phrases. This was a personal peeve because, well, they were made in early 2011. These drafts were made before the policy was implemented.

That they were proposed before the ban on new stock phrase tropes doesn't mean that they're not subject to it now. If they had been completed — including launched — before it, that would be different.

I guess so, since these drafts aren't grandfathered by the policy.

Perhaps the protocol I have of of no bumping old threads on forums has also almost applied to TLP.

Edit: I also realized, holy crap! Almost 10000 drafts! Perhaps launching and/or nuking old drafts could be a solution, though it would take a while, since the old drafts used to have tags.

Down to 9458 drafts right now; once multiple TLPs have been discarded, someone else should update that number.

Found this page that can help to find very interesting drafts. I have forgotten where I found it. The link might be on the YKTTW Bump or somewhere on the TLP-related Administrivia.

The YKTTW salvage list is broken. A new thread called the Trope Launch Pad discard project has been started for discarding drafts.

TLP discard/salvage project has three threads in Short term projects? Two should be closed. :-)
