The comic is going on hiatus for a year or so
while the author works on a graphic novel (The Hunger on the S.S. Lark), and also so they can plan ahead a bit for the end of this comic.

Corny announced on the Never Satisfied website and his Tumblr that the comic will be on hiatus indefinitely. While not ruling it continuing it, he admits to being closer to not continuing.
