Somehow I doubt you could fit a wyvern in the inn itself...
That thing pokes through the window.
Where there's life, there's hope. That assumes the wyvern is even by the window in the first place, which would kinda be strange.
Fixed a bit.
Where there's life, there's hope.I could've worked around it before due to the window thing, admittedly, but thanks for revising anyway.
So far it seems Grendan takes things too seriously, while Heath is rather excitable. It's a one-unit Kent-Sain dynamic, apparently.
So does Heath flirt with the girls?
Well Heath and Gertrude does resemble Sain/Florina dynamic.
Where there's life, there's hope.Maybe the wyvern ones.
Question is, does he get shot down as consistently as Sain?

Depends on how many archers there are.
Where there's life, there's hope.Touché.
Come to think of it, Tigra's age has been kinda bugging me for a bit. I mean, I was assuming she was around 30 or something, considering she was an active knight and has recently started her own mercenary company, but now she's referring to a 54-year-old as not much older than her.
Tigra is in her early-mid 30s. She meant that Alastair isn't actually old enough to be her grandfather, although he is still 20-odd years older.
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers.Okay. You just made it sound like she was a lot older than that (like, 40s).
Cathari, are you playing Zeera like she hasn't been hired to the party yet? Because my last post assumed that she had been.
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers.I'm not 100% sure how to answer that. I've been playing her under the assumption that she has joined/met with Sir Tigra, but she has not necessarily met with anyone else. I'm not exactly sure how the meeting would have gone in that situation (as I'm not exactly sure how the process of recruitment would have gone/under what circumstances they would have met), but I've been kinda under the impression that after meeting with Sir Tigra, Zeera was then told to go to the inn, where she would formally meet up with the other members.

That's what I was going with, yeah. But Tigra called for everyone to gather 'round in my last post, and Zeera didn't seem to notice, so I wasn't sure. :P
[edit] Oop, I am become error. Apparently I deleted that part before submitting.

edit: Does anyone else get the impression of Grendan and Malia being like those siblings who can't stop digging at each other, but are still really close?

I certainly am.
In other news, BATTLE COMMENCE!
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers.Sooo...I, uh, realized I kind of missed the bar scene. Was looking for a good entrance point, didn't find one (also, was still working on finalizing Buck's characterization in my head—he hasn't crystallized yet).
Permission to have him rejoin as a scout, with the excuse that he's been scoping out the hills (since this is pretty close to his home turf)?

Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.Since we already established that the party all met Tigra separately and were simply told to meet in this village at this date, anyone arriving late is doing just that: arriving at the meeting point late. You can still participate in the battle, just make an introductory post. We'll have you entering the village from the other end, where Malia is gathering the villagers away from the fighting.
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers. That'll work. Grid coordinates?
EDIT: E1, I see it. Thanks.

Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three. We can discuss battleplans in here and whatnot, right?
Also, are the houses effectively impassible, or are there other ways we can interact with them?
Yes, you can absolutely discuss strategy here.
Houses are normal terrain. They can be moved through as normal, and provide a small avoidance bonus. Walls in gray are impassible.
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers. So we going for the boss, or just holding out?
Also, couple typos in the Army Status tab: I don't think Buckley and Gramps were supposed to start with single-digit HP.
So, three questions.
First, is visiting houses or villages ever going to be a thing in the future?
Second, can archers shoot through walls?
And third, Buckley and Gramps are at full HP, right? Being at 1 and 2 respectively is just a typo?
EDIT: I vote slowly and steadily going for the boss. We can totally take these guys, since we're well-equipped, and we have a healer on our side.

That's kind of the inspiration, actually.
