yes because thats what the plot wants them to do
New theme music also a boxArmy of Giant bugs >> Superman, confirmed.
Yeah thats how Superman stories work too. Its not really about power level shit.
Otherwise there wouldn't be a thing called ya know..... conflict.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."That doesn't change how strange it is that a group of insects were so absurdly strong.
Guess they are Atlantean related insects.
Easy bullshit there.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."It’s one part in a movie with way worse holes. Like how casually it introduces, then drops the whole idea of the sunken citadel, the battle of the mind at the end, etc.
Everybody loves the me! I’m a great athlete! What seems strange to me is how absurdly overpowered the giant insects were, even Orm and Arthur had to run away from that group.
We'll be getting a crossover with the Super Ants from Quantumania soon.
Ok, who let Light Yagami in here?I saw it more of trying to avoid a Zerg Rush, Arthur handily beat a single giant grasshopper when it came in range. Atlanteans are fairly hardy but are depicted as dealing with plenty of creatures capable of harming them.
Do you not know that in the service one must always choose the lesser of two weevils!Just want to check, I wasn't the only one who heard Arthur call Orm Loki, was I?
Yeah, that actually happened.
Though it kinda brings up the idea like, what if the MCU are movies in the DC universe, and vice versa?
Everybody loves the me! I’m a great athlete!Marvel and DC have always existed as fictional franchises within each other's universes in the comics (except during crossovers between the two, when that is quietly ignored for obvious reasons).
Anyway, saw this last night with my brother. I went in with low expectations given all the production troubles but it ended up not being half bad. I'm certainly glad the rumors of Manta being Demoted to Extra because test audiences didn't like him ended up not being true, the character was realized perfectly onscreen; a smug, prideful bastard who prioritizes making Aquaman suffer over anything else. Granted, I probably should've known they wouldn't have the balls to actually let him kill the baby.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonI don't understand the obsession of wanting to kill a baby, in a pg-13 movie.
its an expectation from comic book fans because black Manta killed Aquaman's baby
New theme music also a boxHuh if what I hear is accurate with Aquaman 2's second weekend, it currently has managed to attain a box office of 250 million.
At minimun surpassing it's budget of 205-215 million.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Well, that's a job halfway done, let's see if it breaks even.
Wake me up at your own risk. The fact that we’re cheering on a superhero blockbuster and sequel to a billion-dollar moneymaker to break even shows how far these kinds of movies and franchises have fallen, even in this year.
Everybody loves the me! I’m a great athlete! In some fairness movies in general have been doing terrible this year for a while now.
Don't let the success stories fool you, the industry is really struggling.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Welp just got back from the movie and it was pretty good. It was a nice enjoyable adventure movie.
Yeah, like, isn't practically every big name film that came out in the last few months, just after the strike ended, doing catastrophically?
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. There have been billion dollar hits, like Super Mario Bros. and Barbie.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. Both before the strikes.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Ah, right.
I guess the lack of advertising did a number on the film industry. I only watched this movie because a friend invited me.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Even then, those were the trees hiding the forest. Most of the big blockbusters this year either tanked or underperformed.
So yeah, Aquaman breaking 500M would be almost decent by this year’s standards.
What seems strange to me is how absurdly overpowered the giant insects were, even Orm and Arthur had to run away from that group.
If Superman was there, would he have had to run away too?
