I’ve said it before, Gabriel really enjoys being a supervillain to the point it overrides his more noble ambitions.
Plus there’s all his villainous ranting where no one can hear him, he’s really into this whole thing.

It's a shame he's gone. While I do think the Hawkmoth formula was overused (that is to say, solely used with zero variation), I did still like it, and I really can't see anyone being a more fun Hawkmonarch than this guy.
Gabriel being a dumbass and a weirdo who constantly tries to pretend like he's not a dumbass and a weirdo was an endless source of entertainment.

Well Lila is now the new Hawk Moth. I guess the funniest thing about her is that she's now doomed herself to being foiled every week by the one person she hates the most.

I will say one thing about Gabriel, this season has finally figured out ways to make him occasionally look intimidating. Migration has a really cool visual of him when he's trying to tempt Luka, just Hawkmonarch standing in a dark room with only his mask and the swish of his cane for illumination, and it looks fire.
To say nothing of that surprise Gabriel jumpscare in Adoration.

I mean, most of Hawk Moth's designs have been pretty good.
Like the Hobgoblin, he's a fashion man and saves his best designs for himself.

As we near the start of season six I look forward to an answered question: What was that light that appeared when "Lila" put on the moth broach? Was it something to with the Supreme, or just a fake out?

The best part of Ryukomori is that from the looks of it, she was mostly harmless. She can't touch anything. She mostly just wanders around, speaking despondent gibberish and not interacting with anything. As long as people left her alone, she was of no threat to anyone (again, this was Gabriel's big genius plan for his latest weapon). She caused chaos because she looked really spooky, but beyond that she was only a problem if people kept bugging her.
If not for the fact that people genuinely love Kagami and want her back to normal, she might have made a nice tourist attraction.
