I thought John Oliver was British.
I mean, living in the Northeast U.S., the only people I've ever encountered with British accents are immigrants from the U.K.

He was basically the lead correspondent on The Daily Show for a long time and hosted it while Jon Stewart was filming Rosewater, before ultimately leaving to host his own show on HBO, Last Week Tonight With John Oliver, from which you found that video.

It awes me the guy who made the video sounds like a foreigner to me, but maybe he's just from the North East?
