Color images of the new suit have leaked
The eyes look weird.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? The "Scott Steiner" of Godzillas.
I remember hearing that Legendary!Godzilla was designed to have scars that resembled radiation burns. I didn't get that vibe from that Godzilla, but I definitely get it from this version.
they really put a lot of big talent on this didn't they? Between Shiro Sagisu, Hideaki Anno, and that one guy who did a bunch of Gamera movies, I have faith that this will be at least an interesting movie, especially if it's more of a horror story based on the original film's tone and content.
also, those images are pretty low-res, but the idea behind the new design isn't bad. i especially like the jagged look of it, with the teeth coming out of its skin. it really does look monstrous.

Man, he looks legitimately creepy, easily a far better attempt at it then GMK's, which just looks somehwat goofy.

Watch SymphogearThat's the scariest fucking thing I've ever seen.
My various fanfics.i just noticed how emaciated and shrivelled up his arm looks. never mind the way the pectorals are rendered which makes him look like an emaciated corpse.
this guy isn't here to mess around.
Reminds of one of those old Japanese woodblock paintings of a monster or demon with large beady eyes and pronounced, bulging musculature.
First impressions, I kinda prefer Legendary!Godzilla, but Resurgence!Godzilla looks pretty...whoa.
I don't know about you guys, but this Godzilla kinda looks like a zombie. And the bulging eyeball gives the impression that he's hurting a lot. Like someone or something resurrected him very painfully.
Which is fitting, because according to Bloody Disgusting, the leaked images are of Godzilla's first of 3 forms he will go through during the movie.
Watch SymphogearSo two questions:
1: Does anyone think this movie might be better than the 2014 Gareth Edwards one?
2: Will we put this in the Millenium series, or just make a new series to put it in?
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?I liked the Gareth edwards one, as it felt more like a Batman Begins styled movie.
This new Toho is seperate from the Millenium Era, I believe.
Watch SymphogearI liked the Gareth Edwards one, but I had some issues with it that I feel could be improved on in the sequel (whenever we get one, sense it'll take a while, what with Edwards working on that Star Wars prequel about the guys getting the plans for the Death Star). What I'm wondering is if this one will have more widespread acceptance than Edward's film, because his version was very divisive, admittedly.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Doubtful. I think the only reason this movie is getting made is because Toho got competitive after seeing that Legendary's Godzilla was (back then) the largest to date. So they may care more about bragging rights than making a good movie.

this is basically a new series i would imagine. "shin" can mean "new" after all :'p
Yeah, but you have the guys from Evangelion and Attack on Titan making it. That has to amount to something.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?No wonder Godzilla looks like his skin got flayed off. I guess we'll also be seeing people who get too close to him get turned instantly into liquid goop.

you could see it as toho wanting to step up their game, hence why they got the talent they did to work on it.
Maybe they were like "Oh, you made a good Godzilla movie with a complete nobody? Hmph, we'll make an even better one with two great anime talents!"
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?i think that is actually what their thought process was, yes. fairly sure that toho does actually care about the quality of their godzilla movies, and if i recall correctly anno really wanted to work on this movie.
Didn't Anno make a concept called "A Space Godzilla" once that involved Godzilla dying and going on a 2001 type voyage through space and time or something? Or was that the guy who made Akira?
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? But how good is their live-action portfolio?

Good lord, he looks like a demon straight from hell.
Shoo her in, Effie darling, shoo her in.
