That's our Gog Agog *stock audience laughter*
"You can reply to this Message!"Hm. Between Gog's comments on this and the previous page (about how she throws a party every time the world ends, and this being "her time again"), and the extra story this week...
A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.Does she survive the end of the world? How?
The Mass Remembers.
It remembers burning. Seriously, if Big Red destroys the universe, how does even a worm survive?
By hiding inside the stones of an ancient temple, apparently.
A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.Even Jagganoth doesn't quite understand how the timeloop works, but he certainly feels the weight of the repeated time on an instinctive level.
For our worm friend here, it might just be something as simple as one piece of them surviving, before starting all over again from scratch.
I guess I don't really understand it either.
I think there’s only one question that matters here–was Allison present, playing her role, in any of those previous incarnations of the universe? Because if so, then Gog has a good point–this has all happened before. But then why is Gog bothering with this conversation?
If, on the other hand, Allison has never been the chosen one before, if that was an accident even Zoss didn’t intend…
Then the game’s in the air.
The fact that Gog says "not even YOU" seems to indicate that Allison was present previously. But that might be a bit of a tenuous exegesis.
She is talking about the time period of the warring demiurges, long predating Allison's birth.
It's also possible that by "you" she means broadly "everyone who was ever chosen by Zoss."
Training Arc in speed mode incoming.
Shouldn't have stopped level grinding White Chain
"You can reply to this Message!"Oh... I was wondering how it was that a mere fish could threaten either of them. Now I get it, this whole thing is a test.
How does this comic just keep getting more surreal?
The only demiurges that aren't dead, imprisoned, depowered or just fucking off are Jadis and Incubus, and Incubus switched teams. Jagganoth's empire has always had superior firepower to the other demiurges, and now a lot of their empires are in shambles.
