A video-game based ARG that, instead of focusing on supernatural events, it's a "normal game" published by a developer with a dark past, and a related blog that looks into the game to find clues about said past. Less of a "the game breaks down and things get weird" sort of deal, more of a "a seemingly standard game that's actually very dark if you know the lore, which is directly related to the game's events".
If only I knew how to code
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI had this idea thanks to playing around with different time zones. In the last chapter of my upcoming sixth short story, thanks to Anne-Marie’s portal magic, while it’s midnight in Kinardas City, it’ll be 5:00 AM in the Florida Keys, so it’ll still be Princess Lily’s birthday when she comes back at around 8:00 PM when she returns home (1:00 AM in Florida time).
I like to keep my audience riveted. The day-to-day antics of a group consisting entirely of Yanderes.
Sorry in advance: this might be a wrong thread, since this idea is actually a game - but not a pure Forum Game, though it uses the resources available at the TV Tropes wiki.
So I post this anyway, since I think it's a Great Idea for casual Fun, like the old school OUIJA. And one that I could actually easily execute - at least in theory - as a coding practice.
But, I would like to know whether this Great Idea has been implemented already.
So:
- Is there already a game in which the players answer a set of questions, and as the result, they get assigned to some Character Type?
If not, I might dare to make it myself.
The Details:
As this game would be purely for fun, the results would present the player a positive example of a Character with the personality type traits. E.g. Protector types would e.g. be Mama bear like Ripley from Alien, Artisans e.g. a Gadgeteer Genius like Mac Gyver (1985), or Cold Sniper like Katniss Everdeen from the Hunger Games. And so on.
The questions would be silly "pick your weapon" or "in this situation, what would you do" -type.
The results would be counted à la Myers-Briggs/The Enneagram/Big Five.
Like: if you answer that your weapon of choice would be a law book, you would get 5 points of being a Badass Bureaucrat type Guardian. If you pick instead a long range rifle you have tuned yourself, you would get 5 points for an Cold Sniper type Artesan.
I would like to base this game on the resources found in the TV Tropes, since I think they tap nicely on the global shared sub-consciousness :)
Please direct me to another forum and/or thread, if this post is misplaced. And of course feel free to to monetize this idea yourself :)

I just had this sweet idea. :)
In one of my future vacation stories, Amare and Clara are going to go to the Cayman Islands. I’m sure they would love to see the islands where they had their wedding after so many years. And to show those great islands to their dark elven children. ;)
I like to keep my audience riveted.Three heroines defeat the local demon lord (or lady in this case) by sealing them and themselves into infancy. Sacrificing the personalities in the process.
There are actually two ideas with this set up:
- The first one would be chronicling the newly reincarnated girls' misadventures in childhood as their caretakers try to ensure none of the four kids, esp the ex demon lord, falls into evil.
- The second, assuming the ritual also sealed them into eggs, would be about a power struggle as both the kingdom and the remnant of the demon lords army try to find these eggs. The latter doing so to not only reclaim and restore their liege, but also gain three very malleable and corruptible children with the powers of heroes in the process

A coming-of-age story about middle aged father who wants to discover himself. He goes on a journey only to find that what he was looking for was right in front of him.
"Eratoeir is a Gangsta."A story that starts as a typical "cop drama" of the late 20th century or early 2000's.
Police pick up a little girl in the park who a social worker believes was abused.
Her father shows up and the police try to arrest him for abuse.
Only the little girl is possessed by a demon - a demon that doesn't want to go back to the father.
The father is something worse - a master of demons and he's very mad that his latest prize escaped. He only has until sunrise to recapture his prize. And he's more than willing to use everything at his disposal to get that demon back. Oh and he'd like his daughter back...if that's doable...
The cops and the social worker have to spend the night fending off things Immune to Bullets to protect a demon and the soul of a little girl from something worse.
All night at the computer, cuz people ain't that great. I keep to myself so I won't be on The First 48
A science fiction, coming of age story about time travel and growing up.
