Gamera general thread

Yeah the first film is super, super, SUPER rough because it portrayed Gamera in a role that he would never ever again take on, not even in his most anti-heroic outings

Yeah, there really isn't much there in the original movie. It's a straight down the middle Godzilla clone. The Showa series doesn't really gain its identity until vs Gyaos.

I gotta say, I much prefer the first film's original American title; Gamera the Invincible.

Gamera the Giant Monster is just so incredibly boring in comparison (why, yes, Gamera is a giant monster. Thank you so much for pointing that out for me, movie, because I never would have picked that up otherwise).
