Is Earth Bet the one that Taylor is native to? (I assume Earth Alpha is the Traveler world?)

Second to last Glow Worm chapter is out.

So its looking like Worm 2 will be starting within the week.

I honestly can't wait.

So, first chapter of Parahumans 2 is up and it is called Ward.

It takes place 2 years after the end of Worm and the protagonist is Victoria Dallon, hell yeah! I can't wait to see where this goes. :3

Ooooh! Vicky should be lots of fun.

Wait, was there a chapter where Glory Girl got turned back to human-shaped? If there was, I missed it.

It was implied during the end with Khepri noticing Amy reaching out to Victoria in the aftermath.

So, I dropped Worm right around when Taylor jailbroke her powers in the final confrontation. Everything she did was awesome, which is why I got so far in to the story, but I couldn't stand her as a person, especially her hypocrisy and near total lack of self-awareness.

I love the setting though. Would I be totally lost if I started the new series without knowing how Worm ended, and is the new main character someone... better?

That's honestly a really odd stopping point.

Of the chapters remaining only about half are debatably from her point of view.

So if you plan to pick up Parahumans 2 (which has a new protagonist) you may as well spend an hour or so and at least skim the final chapters.

Only 2 parts so far.

I personally lost track somewhere around the time Scion started wrecking things and they were coordinating evacuation to the alternate Earth. I don't really remember why I fell off, but I just couldn't get around to catching up again. Now, I read a lot of the fanfic instead.

So, how are you guys liking Ward? Glory Girl was kind of boring as a protagonist in the first two chapters but she grew on me after the third.

I dropped it around the time we were told the Travellers' backstories. I never cared about them in the first place, so spending extra time on them struck me as thoroughly uninteresting.

They're probably referencing the earlier thread, where a few of us were commenting on when we stopped reading Worm.

Wow. I'm amazed at the rate this new story is updating. How can he maintain that pace?

Wildbow is a writing machine.

He literally hasn't stopped that update rate since he started Worm all the way though Pact and Twig.

According to some posts of his he feels like stopping would get him out of whack.

Is he doing this full-time? His Patreon is definitely making enough he could quit his day job.

Yeah, he's gone into his finances briefly on reddit before.

A few years back, I'm not exactly sure when, he became a full time writer subsisting off his patreon and paypal donations.
