One thing I've noticed is that for all how the page for They Might Be Giants claims them to be the unofficial official band of this wiki, there's relatively few people on this site who seem to ever reference them.

Dammit X, where'd you learn what the plot of the next Deus Ex game is going to be?

Of two things I'm sure, one, if that was the plot to the new deus ex game, it would be less stupid than the actual plots of those games. And two, it wouldn't make the game suck any less than they already do.

I think the Troper Tales on Brilliant, but Lazy were the main impetus for deleting TT. Before that, people would always cite that trope as a reason why it shouldn't exist.

This place seems to have a remarkable number of sane fans in otherwise horrible fandoms.

Case in point: the Kingdom Hearts thread.

Most editors on the wiki come across as extremely timid, susceptible to Squick reactions, and treating fictional violence and Spongebob Squarepants as Serious Business.

Then again, it's probably just me.

And, if the Nightmare Fuel pages are to be believed, we're also a bunch of pansy-ass...pansies.

Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.

Also the Nightmare Fuel pages have a tendency to get really existential. My feeling is, if what is probably just a plot hole makes you think about the meaning of life, the universe and everything, you have some other issues.

The fridge logic/horror pages can be just a bad. Along with tearjerker (sometimes).

Nightmare Fuel page for My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic makes me actually feel ashamed to be a part of fandom sometimes.

I raised the issue but it eventually went nowhere because of few outspoken fanboys.

I don't really see a point in messing with the page.

I just think it's arrogant to proclaim yourself arbiter of what is scary/awesome/funny/heartwarming/sad/whatever. It's a YMMV trope, our opinions are irrelevant aside from the cleaning of Natter.

Thank you, Mctagg.

Yep. That's the situation. Figure out how to not let it bug you, because "This is what I think/feel/believe. You may not agree." is precisely what "Your Mileage May Vary" means

Tropers are just as likely to see the Tear Jerker and Nightmare Fuel pages as Narm as anyone else.

Nightmare Fuel pages are funnier than actual Crowning Moment of Funny pages. Special mention goes to the MLP FIM page.

[up][up]Especially the Tear Jerker pages, where the words "heartwrenching", "this troper", and "cried" tend to pop up quite a bit. sad
