Brenda Lee goes to #1 with her Christmas classic "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree", 65 years after the song's release in 1958. This gives Lee her third #1 hit 63 years after her last #1 hit "I Want to Be Wanted" back in 1960 and, given she's 78 and will become 79 next week, makes her the oldest artist to hit #1 (albeit with a song she released when she was 13), beating Louis Armstrong, who was 62 when "Hello, Dolly!" hit #1 back in 1964.

Besides that, more holiday songs climb as Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" jumps two spot to #2 and several songs by Bobby Helms, Wham!, Burl Ives, and Andy Williams reenter the top 10, with "Jingle Bell Rock", "Last Christmas", "A Holly Jolly Christmas", and "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" jumping to #4, #5, #6, and #10 respectively.

It is interesting to see how the shifting emphasis on streams has caused Top 10 become dominated by Christmas songs in recent years. For contrast, "All I Want For Christmas is You" barely cracked the Top 20 in the holiday season 2016 and only became #1 first time in 2019.

I still have yet to hear the original version of that song in any store during the holidays. I've heard covers, but Mariah's version in particular has always eluded me.

That's interesting. I don't think I've ever heard a cover of it apart from the version sung by Olivia Olson in Love Actually, which is surprising in on itself given it's the Christmas song of the last thirty years.
