That show may be the first time I ever heard a "trope" get mentioned in official media (specifically in the episode Open Book).

If you play with fire, you're gonna get burned.I have the Pretty Cure dub for that. "NO! Not the Puppy-Dog Eyes"
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.Original Show, or Glitter Force?
The REAL Pretty Cure dub, the YTV dub of the first seaason that is uncut.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.So if anyone finds it in character for Garnet to split while occasionally playing the 3rd Generation Pokémon games, I imagine Ruby plays Pokémon Sapphire and Sapphire plays Pokémon Ruby.
Phoebe and Her Unicorn thread: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=16104243270A34144300She's such an excellent gamer, I think she could play with one GBA in each hand. Plus future vision would make battles a breeze. She may have to find ways to make it more challenging.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Last time Garnet played a video game (OK,it was an arcade game) it hypnotized her and Steven had to break the machine to free her
New theme music also a boxThe problem in that case was that she tried using her Third Eye to gain an edge in the rhythm game. It worked, but it also made her too caught up in all of the different possible combinations and moves.
Disgusted, but not surprisedWe we we we weeeee, are in the future.
This cartoon and Adventure Time and Regular Show making me feel old.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Unless any of you are 42 (like me) or older, you don't know old.😋
Phoebe and Her Unicorn thread: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=16104243270A34144300If we go with the interpretation that Steven only became sickly looking without his gem in Change Your Mind because White Diamond dropped him down a long height, what if someone had tried to remove Steven's gem during Steven Universe Future to stop his pink outbursts? Would Steven have stopped freaking out in the sense that his trauma wouldn't become dangerous?
It's pretty clear that being separated from the Gem was what was killing him. The Gem isn't just a source of power for him. It's basically a vital organ.
Disgusted, but not surprisedIts quite literally his gem soul being torn from his human/gem body,of course he looks ill
New theme music also a boxBesides, we saw how scary Pink Steven was when separated from Steven.
Imagine how much worse it would be with the more powerful and angst-ridden Steven of Steven Universe Future.
Disgusted, but not surprisedI wonder, what if Steven had accidentally shattered Garnet, Amethyst, or Pearl in Steven Universe Future? Considering he was already horrified when he shattered Jasper (who was initially an enemy), how worse would it be if he shattered the ones who helped raise him?
This scenario wouldn't have happened. The reason Steven shattered Jasper is because she wanted a real no kid gloves fight with him, and wasn't prepared for the full depth of what that entails. None of the Crystal Gems would have put him in that situation.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.I was just reminded of the song Unwritten, and now I can't stop thinking about a Peridot AMV set to it. I'm surprised it hasn't been done.

I was just thinking this music reminded me of Lapis since they were in the same playlist
New theme music also a boxWhat would happen if the Gems ever tried to see an actual therapist for their mental problems? Especially with the likes of Pearl, Jasper, and Lapis.
They would need to see a gem therapist to understand gem problems, regular human therapy wouldn't work
New theme music also a boxI was just thinking about the wrestling episodes, and how Steven was so enthused about being a wrestler at the start, but after some time, Amethyst had enough of the wrestling scene, and how that reflects how people can be fans of something for a period, but eventually grow tired of it and actually resent the time commitment.
Wonder if any Gem Therapists popped up as a practice in the intermittent five years. The concept by itself would probably be in its infancy and currently the only major thing resembling it that we've seen on screen is Blue and White Diamond's not particularly great treatments.
Really, gem society's social shifts must be massive now that certain occupations are de-emphasized and certain new employments become recognized, between New Homeworld diaspora teachings, cross-cultural exchange with humans, and just home grown ideas that are either encouraged or are allowed to spread thanks to no longer being a punishable crime. Probably imagine the possibilities, like punk art or cooking or various new entertainment like non-combat sports, recorded fiction, or dancing not done by Pearls.
I think he still would have developed those issues sooner or later. Especially when Ronaldo gives him the speech about hiding your struggles from others to protect them, I think that contributed to that complex at least as much as The Test did.
