Still waiting to see if things really change. I stopped caring about RT a while ago, so I’m just waiting to see if this is another round of pants covering or if actual changes happen.
It's really confusing trying to keep up on who's good and bad in this whole debate and so I just chalk it up to just everyone's just screwing the pooch with this debacle with some people getting getting hurt in the process.
The animators on CRWBY seem to be good (they’re understaffed but their supervisors absolutely will not allow any crunching), the riggers are horribly mismanaged by their manager. Recent LGBT hires to Achievement Hunter a have said they’ve had nothing but a positive experience. HR has improved by leaps and bounds since 2020, but the guy who laughed off concerns about Adam and directly led to Bruce and Lawrence leaving the company is still employed.
So yeah, real mixed bag.
"Yeah, the Nostalgia Critic is still out there, still has a devoted following, and still makes money for its creators. The people who did the thing everyone's mad about are still running their business, like it never happened."
Kinda and kinda not, the whole issue shatter his reputation probably forever and most of the people who work with him are gone or doing probably better, this stuff stink with you.
But and this is right, the entraing industry have being forgiving if your hability to deliver is good enough as hollywood attest, In Nostalgia critic case he already reach the zenit of his hability to grow and change his material before the whole thing happen so is "easier" to ignore. in RT case their show quality have being from "meh" to "bad" so I feel people are more willing to shit on them because of this.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Apparently RT's screwing of the pooch has not been done yet since Recreyo is also getting canned.
Context please?
Vegeta: I'm back bitches!Recreyo is part of Rooster Teeth and they just announced that they got canned, with more details on Friday, but given how Rooster Teeth is Rooster Teeth and Rooster Teeth is the worst, I'm not holding my breath for this.
I thought they couldn't outright "cancel" anything though?
Vegeta: I'm back bitches!I'd hold off on making assumptions until the creator makes their announcement.
I don't get it. Why did they post a big black image of nothing?
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading. They explain in this short, four minute video that just cuts right to the chase rather than explain a fifteen minute drama.
Oh shit, looks like they were trolling. Season 2 confirmed.

I was gonna say, I'd been seeing their vids appear in my feed a lot more lately and I hadn't even heard of them before now, so I thought this whole thing was just a publicity stunt to drum up more views.
Vegeta: I'm back bitches!Okay.
So...I was kinda out of touch with both RWBY and Rooster Teeth for about a year or two.
And well holy crap, things happened during those times apparently.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Checking around Roosterteeth’s discord, and I think Barbara cutting all references to RT on her Twitter is not entirely because of the ongoing controversy - they mentioned considering doing so on a livestream because Elon Musk bought the site. Gus removed all mentions of RT on his Twitter during a livestream for that reason.
Is Muskrat related to what happened, or do they just not like him?
I don't think he's directly related to their own workplace troubles, no.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonThey don’t like Musk.
I think the Muskrat just tweeted that anyone impersonating another user who doesn’t specify that this is parody will now receive permanent suspensions.
RT has a lot of problems, but they still have some ability to see the writing on the wall (SOME - if they had it all, then this controversy would not be happening).
There's a lot of things he's saying that aren't really looking good for Twitter, so I think they're logging off in protest.
Again, writing on the wall. They need to do damage control for their own reputation, best not to let Musk taint them by association.
I wouldn't really see it as "taint by association" since Twitter is the microblogging social media platform with other imitators being either too minor to be noticed, really major but burned their bridges with people before (i.e. Tumblr and Facebook), or made exclusively to different wings of politics (mostly right though), but rather taking a stand against Musk's Tyrant Takes the Helm thing.

So, they're just jumping ship from Twitter like pretty much everyone else at this point? Cause I mainly go on there to look at fanart, and the fanartists are jumping ship too, some even joking about people dreading having to go to deviantArt if they want to post anywhere.
Vegeta: I'm back bitches!Looks like it. Musk is cancer to decency.
I only use Twitter for work-related purposes, which means I'm following a lot of STEM accounts. Ironically, the STEM people and organisations don't show any signs of shifting, but other academic fields that I follow (the historians and sociologists, in particular) all seem to be migrating to Mastodon, which I hadn't even heard of until a historian I follow put up a thread explaining how to get started on it.
There's probably a life lesson there in the way the historians and sociologists are reacting faster to the prevailing mood than STEM accounts.

So how do people feel about this all jow that a week and change has past? We've gotten a lot of messages from former and current RT members and it's definitely a mixed bag (the only constant seems to be that everyone agrees pay is too low and management sucks).
