Doing what I can, with regards to this.
Moon◊So a question. In the case of multi-source images, would it be preferred to cite which part of the image the source is located (where applicable, like with evenly-divided images), or just toss in a generic "part of it"?
I ask because on Video Games, I had cited which part of each image belonged to the relevant source, but then somebody went through and undid all of that with "part of it". It took me nearly the entire grace period to fix that (since there's no handy "revert" feature like Wikipedia has, AFAIK). Obviously, I should apply this to other medium subpages if it's the former (which I can do, just not right this second; 20 minutes is too much time wasted when I'm at work).
Moon◊I would think specific would be better, although not necessarily required.
Um... what page should I attribute Arm Cannon to Transformers on? That one kinda of ran the gamut of media. Toys, TV show, comics... if it were obviously the film, I'd put it there, but it's not the film.
Moon◊Generation 1 since that's the version of Megatron that's being used.
Alright, based on that I put it under WesternAnimation. The Transformers. Seems about right.
Moon◊Looks like Real Life to me. After all, the name fits the trope even if you aren't really aware of Batman or Superman.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWell, there's there's ImageSource.Other, which has:
- "Advertising" (no)
- "Arts" (no)
- "Cosplay" (no)
- "Crossover" (no)
- "Myths & Legends" (he wishes)
- "Photography" (maybe, but it'd be a stretch)
- "Print Media" (I don't think so)
- "Pro Wrestling" (no)
- "Theater" (no)
- "Theme Parks" (no)
- "Toys" (no)
- "Troper-Made" (this has been floating about the Internet for a while, so no).
It doesn't seem to fit anything squarely. Would this just be Photography?

Moon◊Real Life.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.There isn't a Real Life section, is what I'm getting at here. (Probably should've explicitly said it.)
Moon◊Then Photography. But a Real Life section would make sense.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I have no clue where to put President Evil (great trope name, btw. Kudos to whoever thought of it). It's potholed to Cthulhu Mythos, which is...not particularly helpful.
Looks like it came from erepublic.com, "an immersive multiplayer strategy game based on real life countries." here. The properties for the picture on that page shows a photobucket account, so I'm guessing it was made by the person who made the post, as well.
That would make it what, Web Original? New Media?
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Video Games—that's where our page on it is.
It would probably be a good idea to change the pothole on the trope page as well to reflect that. My thought is, pothole the image to ERepublik, pothole the first and second parts of the caption to Cthulhu Mythos (for context) and The Spoony Experiment (I assume the caption text is a quote), and possibly include a link to the original post in the source. Thoughts?
Go for it.
Moon◊Done. Thanks for the help.
ETA: I Read It for the Articles' page image is a t-shirt design. Where should I put it?

Added sources to some of the tropes on ImageSource.Art. Just saying something is Art isn't a source. I used a "Trope ([work] by [artist])" format as most of these works shouldn't be on multiple pages per Duplicate image which makes the "* work \\ ** Trope \\ ** Trope" pointless.
There is still some missing sources and the page need some other work too. Noticed that there is some book illustrations on Art that probably should be moved to ImageSource.Literature. There is also some stuff that looks like clipart. Can the clip art be moved to Other or something?

How are we dealing with image sources that don't have pages here?
For example,
The Sheriff is from The Guns of Shadow Valley, which I can't find a TV Tropes page for.

Pothole it to the page the work would be put under.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAlso, would tie in merchandise be linked to the original series or what?
U.S. Marshal is from a Gunsmoke lunchbox, if I recall correctly.
That makes sense.
I have noticed that some images have been sourced under what they illustrate instead of what work they come from.
ImageSource.Literature is for book covers and illustrations from books. I think none of the images sourced to Literature. The Bible comes from "The bible". They should be moved to ImageSource.Art or wherever they actually comes from.
And I'm not seeing any reason to have the The Myths & Legends folder in ImageSource.Other. Classical Mythology, Norse Mythology and Tanabata isn't works.
Norse Mythology:
- Eye-Obscuring Hat = Drawing?
- Moses in the Bullrushes = ???
- Tragic Bromance = painting
- Vertebrate with Extra Limbs = painting
- The Wild Hunt = painting
- World Tree = book illustration

Right, 'cause most of them are inspired by—they're not actually from.
I think that the only images that should be sourced to the actual mythologies would be work created during a time history tells us was the source of that religion (such as images created during the beginning of Mormonism or Scientology or Christianity, etc.). For things like Norse Mythology, the only images that would be from that time would be old tablets and statues. As far as voting goes, moving pieces of art inspired by mythologies to Art has my vote, but I don't think work originating from the known beginning of the mythology should be attributed to Art.
As was pointed out in an IP thread recently, we have the Image Source pages where tropes are organized by the works that are used as their pages pics. These pages are extremely incomplete, though, so it would be very helpful if, as you come across trope pages, you could take a minute to go to the correct subpage and update the list. Thanks!
