First, do you already use Desura? If so, do you like it as a digital distro platform? If your answers to both questions is "no," then you'll probably want to purchase your content elsewhere.
Mangagamer's version of Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni costs $20 US on Desura. You'll pay about the same price for a direct-download from the company itself (activation required, but not much DRM and the same price for a DVD-ROM (little to no DRM).
Eve Burst Error was published in English by Himeya Soft over a decade ago. (The company released a few translated games for computers from 1996 to 2003. All their products are now long out of print.) This reissue is available on Mangagamer's site as well as on Desura. Read a few reviews before you decide to buy it.
My reaction to Go Go Nippon was more or less "meh." It had a hint of gameplay and a tourist/edutainment angle, but I didn't think much of either. I did not find the story or characters to be compelling.
Also, you can find the western VN community's current offerings on Desura under the Engines: Renpy category, including some freeware but mostly indie games.
Umm, I wasn't asking about the service, I was asking about the "products"

Dunno because I don't have experience with VN.
mangagamer.com has been releasing translated visual novels in Desura lately, can anyone tell me whether stuff they have released so far is worth it?
