Depends on the hemisphere. Take them to the one where it's summer at the time.

What if Ramadaan is in spring or autumn? :o

Then take them to the pole with incoming summer, so they'll be stuck there for the sunrise.

But Ramadaan is usually less than a Gregorian month long, so what if it's during the period where there's still days? :o

In all honesty I don't give up anything for Lent. Fuck that noise. Life is too short to deny myself what I enjoy.

Is it bad that its 3 days and I still haven't figured out what I'm giving up? (it can't be chocolate because that ship has sailed).

I have been delaying giving things up for a while for MLP:FIM season 3 finale, which aired today. Since I began late, I am going to do a bit of overtime after the Maundy Thursday, or whenever the Lent ends.

I'm giving up Lent for Lent.

I wonder if there's an etymological connection between our word lente (spring) and Lent.

We simply call Lent de vastentijd ('the time of fasting'), by the way.

I considered giving up, for a time anyway, something that really eats away at my time and without which I could live my life much more easily.

...but then I decided that I couldn't really not go to school for 40 days.
