This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

I agree that the quote isn't an example, but this isn't something you start a TRS thread for. There is a quotes page with plenty of good quotes to replace it with. Pick one, and take it to the edit request for a locked page thread.
I suggest we move this thread to Special Efforts and use it as a base to make a general thread to discuss page quotes.
EDIT: nevermind

Untagged it, and moved it to special efforts. Feel free to general use this.

Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickAs for the quote on Complaining About Shows You Don't Watch, I like the first thing on the quotes page.

I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.I like that one.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickSomebody recently added a page quote to the videogame article Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers (second in the series) but I need to find something more descriptive of it. Tagline, critical review quip, a better-representative in-game quote ... anything, really.

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.Brainless Beauty could use a new page quote. I zapped the old one for being Fan Myopic and unintuitive.
The trope has a quotes page, but I'm not sure which one works best.
I would go with the bottom-most quote, personally.

Use the Bobwhite one. It's the most concise, as much as I'd hate to let a quote from a historical work not get the limelight.
Ninja'd by Nocturna suggesting the same one.
I can't tell in the quote for Cowardly Sidekick that Pokey is a sidekick. It just sounds like he Apologizes a Lot. I know there's a different battle message from the same context that would be a better quote, but I can't remember it exactly…

I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!Bobwhite quote added.
And I agree about the Cowardly Sidekick quote, it's completely non-indicative.
EDIT: I put a request for CASYDW in the edit request thread.

Not sure if it's the right thread for this, but has someone a good idea about a quote for Maradonia Saga?
The current one is a Take That!, something we really don't want.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI don't think a work page needs a quote at all. My vote is to just cut it.
This has been getting on my nerves for a while: the quote on The Theme Park Version seems to be more a comment on actual theme parks rather than on the trope. Its quotes page has two quotes that are more appropriate: how about switching to one of them?

It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdAgreed on changing the page quote for The Theme Park Version. My preference would be for the first quote ("How to Write About Africa") because it's a little bit clearer how it matches the trope.
While I think quotes on works pages are generally fine, it's better to have no quote than a bad quote.
Yeah, I think the "How to Write about Africa" quote is perfect.
It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdTake It to the Bridge has three quotes.
Wow, none of those quotes are any good. I honestly don't know which one should stay on the page.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!I vote cut them all. None of them fit the page at all.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickZapped. Well, not technically zapped but it's such a cool word I had to use it.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!Absence of Evidence: A troper just dumped the two quotes which had been on the page onto the quotes page and replaced it with a third quote. Problem is, I think either of the quotes that had been on the page are better than the new quote. Is that just me, or should I put one of the other quote back onto the page?
Both of the old ones are relevant to the trope. The new one is only relevant to the trope name.
I'd say take off the new one and put back one of the old ones. The Holmes one is probably the more iconic, the Batman one is pithier.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Wait... so is this supposed to be the general thread for page quotations from now on? If so, shouldn't its title be changed to better reflect that?
"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartThe title does reflect that.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickIt still could be clearer, though. Something like "page quotations thread" would be more fitting IMO.
Anyway, did Seanbaby really say what he was quoted on A Man Is Always Eager as saying? I already asked that in another thread, but I'll repeat it here because it needs to be addressed. I can't find it outside TV Tropes, and I'm thinking the quote should be removed just in case he didn't say it, but I'm not sure if that'd be considered a valid reason.
