A thread to discuss the Trails Series of video games (known in Japan as the Kiseki series). Adaptations of the games are also on-topic.
As of May 2024, there is no specific spoiler policy for this thread, which means the the default forum spoiler policy applies. In summary:
- Spoilers for non-episodic works should remain tagged for a minimum of one month after the work's release.
- Spoilers for episodic works (including any DLC) should remain tagged for one month or until the next instalment releases, whichever is shorter.
There hasn't been much good news in months for people who want more Legend Of Heroes VI in English. Xseed has apparently been translating the second installment for PSP, but no release date yet, and they apparently have not had much sales success. Meanwhile, there have been no official statements about releasing the Windows versions in English.
But thanks to this Andriasang article, I learned that Aeria Games (best known for MMORPGs) plans to release the Trails in the Sky trilogy internationally on smartphones. Some online and social functions will be added to the basic gameplay. No clear indication of what international smartphone platforms just yet.

Makes sense.
Even Camilla, Hinoka, and Azura from Fire Emblem have y'know well rounded character. Elise legit has nothing going for her besides crushing on Rean.
Oh, I guess being friends with Alfin, but everyone is friends with Alfin.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Elise being the straight man to Alfin can be funny, but that's about it.
And y disagree with Red about little sisters. Sometimes they make life miserable for their brothers just For the Evulz. Like an IRL friend of mine and his sister from hell.
Nach jeder Ebbe kommt die Flut.I mean, yeah, little sisters are pure evil.
This is what I wrote:
"I swear, whoever wrote Elise has no idea how little sisters actually act. Always trying to murder you for the inheritance, as well as crying and whining if they don't own everything under the sun."
Trust me, I have those. It's a nightmare without end. If Elise was accurate, she'd be plotting to murder Rean so she can have no threats to her rule of Ymir.
Or alternatively, be filled with jealousy that her brother is the famous megastar national hero who has a cool mech, plenty of friends, and the love of her parents, while she's left to rot in obscurity.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I disagreed with you in the sense that little sisters' evil is not always motivated by profit. Sometimes they're evil just for fun.
But on a more serious note, there were a few scenes involving Elise trying to be emotionally supportive of Rean, without any indication that her feelings were romantic, and I actually found myself enjoying those scenes.
Nach jeder Ebbe kommt die Flut.Man both you got some terrible little sisters.
After 10 year plus years I have the confidence to be here. Let's give it EVERYTHING we've got! It's...PUNISHMENT TIMETo be specific, said friend actively likes incest couples, but it's like with anything else, she won't ship them for the sake of it, there's gotta be chemistry and characterization to make it work. And she just doesn't like how little dynamism she has. I find it funny you can only choose her as a dance partner on new game plus, as if Falcom thought that would be a big reward or something.
As far as I've heard, she's very low on popularity surveys.
I would delete my Tv Tropes account if she's more popular than Laura.
That would prove that humanity has no right to exist.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Falcom Sales in North America, Europe, and Asia Have Exceeded Expectations
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/Agood weird news is that there is no manga of that type with Elise so humanity is somewhat ok.
After 10 year plus years I have the confidence to be here. Let's give it EVERYTHING we've got! It's...PUNISHMENT TIMEOh good.
Forget Arianrhod, the fucking Flame Velgr are more dangerous and tough to kill.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Maybe do some good o'l Elemental Rock-Paper-Scissors and spam a lot of water arts.
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/AThat's what I'm doing but these things keep getting multiple turns and spamming feather dance which hits my entire party for massive damage.
I can only kill like 2 at most before the others overwhelm me. My team is Estelle, Schera, Oliver, and Kloe.
I might need to change party members at the rate things are going. Maybe I should bring in Tita.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Using her as a status effect blaster is always handy. Low HP isn't a problem if she can't get hit. Sadly, I suspect because of how busted she was in FC, a bunch of mobs are immune to blindness.
Found this image on Reddit, celebrating the mothers of the Trails series.
Nach jeder Ebbe kommt die Flut.
Why is there a little girl there?
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Short answer: she adopted.
Nach jeder Ebbe kommt die Flut.Seriously should have spoiler tagged that...
Nah, don’t worry, I can barely tell who they are related to.
I legit forgot most of these characters except Irina.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. It’s not just you, there are legit major spoilers there in multiple ways…. Big reveal type stuff.

Eh. Without any context for that image, only two of those (Roselia and Diana) are really close to spoilers, and only in the sense that it spoils they have children at all.
The rest are meaningless without knowing who they are mothers to.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Once again memers: Please do not dictate what can and cannot be spoilers. While I understand the sentiment, you need to dial back since the spoilers you are worried about are so minor that no one will bat an eye. Additionally, your messages can come off rude to some and that kind of mini-modding will land you in hot water with the mods.
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/AFreaken hell like even knowledge of some of them being a mom is a freaken huge ass spoiler. Hitting the report button does nothing, already tried that... seriously doubt mods have played a niche game like this.
You spent the entirety of CS 3 wondering who one of em is after they appear and then they appear multiple times... but arnt explained till the very end of the game. Another you are introduced in CS 4 early on with all the 'you seem familiar' comments before actually connecting that she is the mother of someone you know. Then knowing that one of them is a mom ruins one of the funniest jokes in Sky Third... then there are the appearances of the dead ones in cutscenes and you arnt supposed to get that they are dead...

Just to be clear:
Calling out unmarked spoilers in good faith isn't mini-modding. It's the sort of feedback that relies on knowledge of the franchise, so the mods are not going to be equipped to judge it.
(Simply saying that this may be hollered to the mods isn't mini-modding either)
Hollering is an option, but if misunderstandings can be politely resolved in the thread, even better.
If there's a disagreement as to whether or not something counts as a spoiler for the franchise, that's something people on this thread need to agree guidelines on.
This is not the first time spoilers have become an issue here and I would strongly suggest that folk on the thread agree what the spoiler policy should be — if only so that we can put this in the pinned post and everyone has the same understanding of the rules.
We don't want to be back in this situation in another month's time.
Wow. Even an incest fan doesn't like Elise?
