I don't want to live on this planet anymore.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialIts a movie series based of a Merchandise-Driven toy line and the last movie made over a billion dollars worldwide.
At least we wont have to deal with this again:
Actually Bay himself said that he most likely not coming back to direct this one.

Now I have another reason to worry about Prime getting cancelled.
DAMMIT! REMOVE BAY ALREADY! We could actually get a pretty decent movie if they turned scriptwriting and directing duties over to Orci and Kurtzman or Simon Furman. Someone like that who actually knows how to write a good piece of TF fiction.
If Jason Statham is in this then I expect nothing less than a kickboxing match between him and Megatron.
As long as Michael Bay is in it and Shia is gone, I'm watching it.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. As long as Transformers Prime doesn't get cancelled because of this, I'm completely indifferent to this movie's existence.
You know what, I don't even care any more.
It just might.
That's why I'm hoping they wait a few years. It will give Prime time to get properly established.
I don't think Transformers Prime is at risk of cancellation here. They had it airing during Dark of the Moon's summer for Primus's sake. It's also Hasbro's attempt at an Ultimate Universe for Transformers, so as long as the toys sell I think it's fairly safe.
As for TF 4 itself, I'm not really sure which direction they should take with it. Normally I'd be asking for a Unicron plot at this point, but Prime did that recently and relatively well. The films aren't going to beat the twist of Unicron IS THE EARTH!
I suppose I could ask for the films to start a transition to Beast Wars plots, but then we'd have a repeat of Trukk Not Munky.

Byte MeIs Michael Bay solely to blame for these movies being cruddy?
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyPart of the shame goes to him, part to the abysmal writing.
As long as they get a director who actually cares about story and character depth, then this could turn out all right.
If Bay takes a role bigger than adding in explosions. Then we're fucked.
I think he (or whoever did it) does okay fight choreography, as long as he doesn't hold the camera in the process.
Fight smart, not fair. Also, they need to stop it with the slomo. I HATE IT NOW. I HATE IT. IT WORKED ONLY IN THE MATRIX AND DOES NOT WORK ANYWHERE ELSE.
"Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person that doesn't get it."I have no problem with action scenes, really.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.IMO the action scenes of the past three movies are some of f the best I've seen in any action movie.
Bay is really good witch action scenes, its just that his storytelling is freaking terrible.
What he needs is a better Director of Photography.
Because action scenes will suck without a good DP.
"Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person that doesn't get it."They just need to stop having the camera move around so goddamn much. I guess the fights are good, but I would have no way of knowing that since the camera angles are so terrible.
Oh, and whenever The Hero and the Big Bad are about to face off one-on-one, complete with a Call-Back line, DON'T CUT AWAY!
Bay's main problem is that he enjoys throwing a lot of "stuff" into the movies, congesting it with needless side characters and comedic bits.
For me, Dark Of The Moon would have been a nearly perfect action movie if he trimmed out 10-15 minutes and took out those unnecessary comedic bits (like Sam flailing around trying to look normal with a Decepticon watch on, the over-the-top behavior of "Deep Wang" or the janitor interrupting Simmons book interview). It contrasted horribly against some of the more sombre pathos like Sam talking to Optimus about what the "plan" was.

and God, yes. Non-military human characters were HORRIBLE! I seriously wanted to punch everyone because I couldn't stand them. Oddly, though, I actually pretty liked whatshername. As far as Distressed Damsel went, she did a pretty fine job, I think.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. He wasn't so bad at regular humans in the first Transformers, hacker lady was alright,Shia really wasn't that bad nor was Megan Fox they were arguably both more rounded before Revenge Of The Fallen, and some of the comedic relief was above average (Though that came mostly from Turturro).
If it wasn't for most of the second half except for the battle in "Mission City",it could've been a great movie. Instead it's only a Guilty Pleasure.
At this point though,it doesn't matter who helms it,by nature of Sequelitis, the writers have to be out of ideas, just like what happened after Tim Burton gave up directing Batman. They really should just wait a decade and reboot the whole thing.
I'm kinda worried that will happen seeing as most of the major villians are dead.
Though I'd love to see Blackarachnia as the main villain of this one. (Assuming they don't make it Galvatron.)
There's also Thunderwing, Lord Straxus, Overlord, and the Liege Maximo. Any of them could make a decent main baddie.

Apparently they plan to shoot this and the fifth movie simultaneously.
And Shia La Beouf may be replaced by Jason Statham as the lead human character.
