I like [[Music/Genesis Tonight, Tonight, Tonight]] except for the lyrics ("Going down like a monkey" truly is a weird line) and Down (though he noted in the end that it's a clone of the best Chris Brown song, later admitted it grew on him the more he heard it and that it was a bad choice to review).
And a million fanfics were written...I like Todd In The Shadows. I'm not sure how good he is out of ALL of TGWTG.com (seeing as I have zero intrest in manga, video games or comics) but out of the ones I watch, he's the best. He doesn't go batshit insane at the tiniest of things and he makes good points and criticisms. Go Mr Shadows!
Annoyance extraordinaire at your service, good ladies and sirs! He's pretty top tier on TGWTG, imo.I kinda think he's gona bit too mellow, and forgiving recently, but then again, I just rewatched some of his old videos, and maybe the caustic nitpicking didn't alway work, either.
@Falcon Pain: ...now that I think of it, those two songs are really pretty much the same with the only difference being the tone and POV of the singer, ain't they?
@Tumbril: Personally, I'm just here for the humor and the nitpicking. Still, a lot of the time I've found that I don't like a song at first (and thus am calling for blood when Todd reviews one of them), but then it grows on me. Exhibit A: "Party Rock Anthem".
...of course, then there are those songs that I'm cool with at first, but then I eventually begin to hate them after really actually listening to them. Exhibit B: "If I Die Young".
And, of course, there are some that I'm just completely ambivalent about from start to finish. Might be a fun listen, might just be something I don't care for but don't think is bad. Exhibits C and D: "Club Can't Handle Me Right Now" and "Hey Soul Sister" (though the lyrics of "Hey Soul Sister" kind of annoy me. I can deal, though).
EDIT: I love how Flo Rida is the only one of those musicians that is a blue link...and it links to a page about the state he named himself after.

Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Wait...we actually don't have a page for Train and LMFAO? I'm not a big fan of either of them, but this should really be remedied.
I forgot to note that that I still don't like Kanye's verse, even though I like E.T. in general.
Tumblr here.I don't think anyone who likes that song likes Kanye's verse. Most people I know who know the song say they only like the version of "E.T." without Kanye in it.

Read my stories!Well, AHR aside, that is.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.I'd like to see Todd do another "Worst of the Years" list again, like he did for 1987 and 1976. I loved his mass hatred of Starland Vocal Band.
No, he said that he probably won't make top list from around '95-'98 due to Billboard using the wrong mathemathical equations to chart songs.
And a million fanfics were written...To hell with all of y'all, I liked Kanye's verses. Yeezy-caliber stupidity is better than Katy trying to channel Amy Lee. That said, I do like the song.
"It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt." - Some guy with a snazzy hat.Of the songs he's reviewed, the only ones that I've really liked have been the Bruno Mars ones. That being said, the only ones I've actively disliked are the Katy Perry ones.
I wonder what year would be good for a worst songs list? Perhaps the early 1990s? I know he doesn't like Michael Bolton, after all.
Did he say that on his Twitter or something? I don't have a Twitter so I can't really follow that.
Also, that's pretty interesting. How exactly did they manage to screw that up like that?

Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.I would think that the people they hired to do the math would be good at it, though.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. There are some pretty horrible ones on the top 40 of 1994 (including Bolton), I'm sure that would be a good canidate for his next list.
Has he said anything about a top ten worst of the decade list of a 1960's year?
Someone suggested he do 65' or 66' one time.

I'm having to learn to pay the priceHuh, didn't think that there was any good music back then, what with the American Civil War going on and all.
:P
Anyone who assigns themselves loads of character tropes is someone to be worried about. If you were asking this seriously, no. Billboard started charting songs in 1936 and their first issue was released in 1894.
And a million fanfics were written...I'm trying to think of what he'd put on a list. "Said I Loved You... But I Lied" would probably be on it, as would the Bryan Adams/Rod Stewart/Sting collaboration from The Three Musketeers movie, maybe the reggae version of "Baby I Love Your Way"?
I honestly don't know what Todd's particular tastes are in that regard. I got the impression from the 1989 and 1976 videos that he likes to pick years which have a reasonable amount of very good music that makes the stuff he's listing stand out a bit more.
I'd like to hear what he thinks of 1991, myself, given that it was a big year for me personally and musically.
online since 1993 | huge retrocomputing and TV nerd | lee4hmz.info (under construction) | heapershangout.comThe year I was born! Songs in that year which were hits in America include Bryan Adams' Robin Hood song, "Good Vibrations" by Marky Mark, "The One and Only" by Chesney Hawkes and a string of songs by C+C Music Factory.
Sorry. That was a Typo.
I meant to say 1960's.
Typos get all my hate.
All of it.

I like E.T....
Normally I don't care for Katy Perry at all, but...
Actually I find most of the songs he review to be tolerable, although I may not love them per se.
