Also Frix looks *deeply* unimpressed by the situation.
"You can reply to this Message!"No, she can switch to cartoons. It would be cruel and unusual if she couldn't
"You can reply to this Message!"Wish I could say I haven't done things like that before...
Well there seems to be some lingering after effects.
"You can reply to this Message!"Accidently experiencing other people's sex dreams first hand, that's embarrassing for everyone.
Oh wow, you could actually do that with four arms
Maybe you could but I couldn't.
Ah yes, the age old conflict: Furries vs Scalies.
"You can reply to this Message!"Sydney's relationship isn't exclusive, so there shouldn't be too much issue here, but still awkward to have exact memories of sleeping with someone who, never actually initiated anything of the sort with you.
Tbf I think her boyfriend would still be more angry about the "accomplice to kidnapping her" than any wet dreams she had.
"You can reply to this Message!"Not much of an accomplice. He just helped his girlfriend steal the first body. The second was all flame-girl.
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Eh... not a lawyer, but that sounds like misprision of a felony, not to mention that he held onto stolen property and probably could be argued as part of the second kidnapping if he didn't cooperate with the victim when she asked to be released after his girlfriend left. It's at least an accessory kind of thing.
Although, given his rather... amicable approach to his relationship and helping her with things, I'm half expecting the next few strips to indicate that his race has some sort of built-in loyalty/submission reflex to the females they're associated with, which leaves him less legally liable (at least on the galactic scene) since he's basically being coerced into the actions, much the same as how you generally don't charge children who were ordered to help their parents with a crime.
It took me a few reads to realize that Tenri needed to be transported to where her body was so that the swapping can commence. Locations get so hazy with all of the portal options, and the baggage of the various demon races being associated with "parallel to Earth" realms rather than other planets.
I legit forgot who Tenri was.
Also finding it very off-putting how Max is arguing Star Trek minutiae with Sydney. Fine, I get she has hidden depths and may have watched Star Trek stuff, but to the point where she memorized lines from one specific movie that came out before she was born?
Being around Sydney strenghtens Max's own Nerd-itis.
Also, seriously, I was born after most of the Trek Movies came out and I grew up with regular Trek Movie Marathons on TV so "before she was born" is hardly an argument
"You can reply to this Message!"Heh... I forgot that people still have cable TV.
I'm aware the real answer for why she's being given her body back is that reproving someone of their own body is morally awful, but Dabbler's tone of voice makes me think there's a deal about to bw offered.
Yeah there is a Box for the Crook incomming. I'd wonder if they are getting recruited into Arc-Dark but not sure they are *competent* enough.
"You can reply to this Message!"They've managed to get awfully close twice now... admittedly, they seem better at good ideas than follow-up. They didn't account for just how absurdly powerful Maxima is (moving while in a stasis field!) or being unable to access Halo's orbs, but that was largely bad luck, and in the first case, they knew when to fold them.
Infiltrating Deus's operation in some way? "Unless you want to face trial... The courts really dislike bodynapping..."
= Spindriver =
I didn't think this guy is going to be able to plead ignorance...
