...because launching a YKTTW doesn't actually create the article? (That's a separate step.)
However, I would support links on the YKTTW launch page that pre-fills the edit form with the YKTTW draft (and/or laconic, respectively). That would make the launch process a bit easier.

thats good idea too. Make it show final title, laconic, and final article editboxes. It would save some time.

The new Laconic section for YKTTW entries is nice. Why not use the text from those to automatically create Laconic entries for newly launched tropes?
I had assumed this was how it was implemented until I saw a few recently launched tropes.
