Help needed with Adaptation Decay cleanup

As you may know, a couple of months ago we decided we wanted to re-purpose Adaptation Decay and stop its use as an Audience Reaction. Since then I've been purging the wicks when I had the time and now they are down to about 550 (probably less because there are a lot of database errors), but I'm getting really sick of it, so if anyone else can take over now, that'd be awesome.

A few things to consider before you go axing.

In-Universe examples and parodies that deliberately do this to more serious works (think Excel Saga, Galaxy Angel) are staying. Links on Just Bugs Me are also not to be touched, at least for now.

Beyond that there are some more specific cases that I'm not sure how to deal with, so I've been skipping them:

• Meta references in the descriptions of other tropes that are not about any specific work. Same goes to some Just for Fun pages.
• Links in contributor pages, Troper Tales, WMG and Fridge sub pages.
• Cases where the original author or even the adaptation's author considers it Adaptation Decay. Do we have a better trope for those? If not we need one, though it would actually be Trivia.

Finally, some of the examples overlap with other tropes, objective or not, like Character Derailment, Character Exaggeration, Compressed Adaptation, Pragmatic Adaptation, In Name Only, Dolledup Installment and others. I think we should try to salvage these if we can.
