Doghouse. Totally Radical, man.
"No copyright law in the universe is going to stop me!" ~ Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic ColoursSo it's pretty much confirmed that he's some kind of free runner/tracuer/acrobat-in-training, right?
Like, his mad flips and pirouettes are not just some innate personal ability? Unlike his ability to see ghosts?
I'm not sure I'd say it's confirmed, but this is pretty good evidence.
Speaking of Max's abilities, looking back, I noticed this. I believe it's the same closet he's locked in now. Maybe Max's powers will develop as some sort of clairvoyance?
"No copyright law in the universe is going to stop me!" ~ Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic ColoursI'll bet 30 dollars that him being drawn to that closet and him calling the bat "the proper tool" are forshadowing. Magic max, in the closet, with the baseball bat.
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.So the bat is indeed Max's tool. And Max has black spectral energy!! ...Which is fairly common.
"No copyright law in the universe is going to stop me!" ~ Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic ColoursThis comic makes me laugh.
Black?!
There are too many toasters in my chimney!That's... pretty normal.
Oh man I laughed so hard, the faces are priceless.
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.Page 60. Nice hit, Max.
Mr. Spender's tool seems to be his sunglasses. Wow, talk about Cool Shades.
"No copyright law in the universe is going to stop me!" ~ Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic ColoursI love how everyone is getting ready to fight... except the one guy who is sneezing.
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.Well, he's allergic to action lines, so yeah.
Ed is such an awesome character.
"No copyright law in the universe is going to stop me!" ~ Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic ColoursWait, does Mr. Spender have both black and white spectral energy?
There are too many toasters in my chimney!Yeah, he does. Fantastic! Though the white seems to be somewhat yellowish (see also his fireball on the last page). Maybe his spectral energy has All Your Colours Combined! Yeah!
"No copyright law in the universe is going to stop me!" ~ Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic ColoursPage 61 is up! Fantastic!
"No copyright law in the universe is going to stop me!" ~ Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic ColoursIzzy I'm freaking out!
Tiny...artistic...details...too...many....
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.My brain is activating all of its denial circuits simultaneously.
Also, we get a Title Drop of sorts.
"No copyright law in the universe is going to stop me!" ~ Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic Colours"Oh. OH."
There are too many toasters in my chimney! Also, it seems Paranatural won the award for best comedy on Smack Jeeves. Fantastic!
"No copyright law in the universe is going to stop me!" ~ Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic ColoursYou know, I've noticed that colour seems to have a fair bit of importance in this comic- like the differing colours of their spectral energy, etc. Can't really pin it down, but...
So, when I went back to the first few panels, which were done in mostly black and white with the background occasionally coloured slightly...
I'm wondering if that particular bit of style is deliberate, now.
Just so people know what I mean, pages like this, where the purple colour of the ghosts seems to have something to do with... something.

There are too many toasters in my chimney!Other things I'm noticing as I read through it:
Panel six, bottom right. Don't trust the activity club. Tying in to this page?
Panel six, out the window. That mountain I linked to earlier can be seen from the school.
Panel... a lot of them. It seems even this ghost has a tinge of purple to him.
Panel 8. A random red wisp?
Panel 9. My current working theory is that Spectrals absorb the power of the first Grudge or whatever they meet up with. It would also possibly explain the colours.
There are too many toasters in my chimney!I don't even know who to quote here.
There are too many toasters in my chimney!
That was the best thing.
