Homepage. First comic.

I recently found this awesome comic on Smackjeeves and thought I should share it with you guys. Paranatural is a comedy/action/adventure comic starring a nervous young lad named Maxwell who just moved into a town called Mayview with his eccentric father and little sister. Much of the humor of this comic comes from silly, over-the-top facial expressions, making mundane actions far more awesome than they should be, and the fact that everyone in Mayview seems to be insane in one way or another. Also, there are lots of ghosts and other supernatural creatures around that only a few people, Max included, can see.

The comic is still in its first chapter, with 34 pages released so far, but there's already been a lot of hilarious jokes and Crazy Awesome action. The art's nice too, and fully coloured after the first ten or so pages.

My favorite page so far is probably this one. Friendship fusion! XD

Gee, I wonder what would make Max think that? And ohnoes, we have a cliffhanger! =O

I really like the art style.

I had a little run in with an "attack on my computer" but it was blocked by my antivirus. I'll try reading it again in maybe a week. Hopefully it will be fixed. Not that I'm tech-savvy enough to know if that's even a reasonable idea.

Funnier than I expected from that beginning. Cool stuff.

I just noticed that there is Alt Text.

But only on the last three or so pages.

Ooh,this does look interesting. And it has a feed. Bookmarked.

Edit: You know what I thought of when I saw this? Eerie Indiana. It isn't as weird,but I haven't seen much of "children investigating the supernatural" in webcomics. (Gunnerkrigg Court is more children being shaped by the supernatural.) This could stand out.

Maybe it's the baseball cap but I got a big pokemon vibe from this comic. And the "Insolent Children" shirt made me think of Invader Zim.

Also I wonder if that note Ed is getting has anything to do with Max and/or the activity club...
