It's not like I expect everyone participating to have something every day, which is okay. In fact, I'll probably get started trying to draw the lead of my VN idea and will probably not finish it for a week.
Very nice, as before. I can see how preparing for a webcomic would be exhausting.
I will do something today, but I will not have access to a scanner to show it to you guys.
Yeah, but I feel like I should actually draw something at some point. I haven't done so in the last...
...
many years.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyI just spent forty minutes working on drawing an arm, and then a bench. I need to practice perspective and shading a lot which should help with anatomy.
I forgot how amazing Mark Crilley's videos were. I now have his page favorited.
Currently working on different anime eye shapes.
I drew this tonight. Feel free to tear it to shreds, it's already been fairly thoroughly picked at by my friends.
Be not afraid...His right arm should be above the pole of the net. I can't really explain it well, but just find a long object and try holding it to figure out how it should work.
Tumblr here. So, I might not have much time to work on anything myself, but I'll probably be able to work on it tomorrow.
And I can't think of anything other than what Tumbril pointed out, Loni. Except his eyes are kinda strange next to the rest of his figure, but it works in its own way, I think.
Well, I did try holding a long object like that. That's the only reason the hands are anywhere close to the right positions. I found holding it like that most natural.
Plus, is the figure outrageously masculine? It was supposed to be a tomboyish girl.
Be not afraid...The figure does look too masculine, even for a tomboy. Since there's not a lot of detail in the face, all we have to go on is the body and hair. The shoulders are very broad, as well as her wrists and ankles, so the character is indistinguishable from a young-ish athletic boy.
Here's a reference picture◊ for the hands. I don't advocate using oneself as a reference for dynamic poses. Unless of course you have a profession/hobby involving things of that ilk.
Also, it looks like you've freehanded the entire thing instead of putting down a guide frame first, which is also something I don't recommend for dynamic poses.
I do find the concept really charming, though. Is that a dragon?

It's sort of like a dragon - it's a representation of an 'inspiration'. I've been drawing a lot of them recently, people chasing them, that sort of thing.
I didn't actually freehand this, I did a base sketch. Several sketches before the final one, too. Perhaps the problem is in the way I draw baselines, because I tend to use fairly blocky shapes.
I think I need to start using photo references more. I tried with a photo reference for this pic last night and it turned out a bit better.

Be not afraid...Consider this my "trying seriously for the first time in a long time via keeping it simple" drawing.◊ How is it?
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Looks alright. You should try to shade it if you can, I think.
That'll be hard with pen. Perhaps I should do a pencil version.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.You could try hatching/stippling techniques for shading, if you want to stick with pen. I found it hard to get the hang of it at first, but it gets easier with practice.
Tumblr here.I would like advice. Particulary I would like to knwo what I should practice next.
Here its my Da account http://mythicsonofgod.deviantart.com/
Make your hearth shine through the darkest night; let it transform hate into kindness, evil into justice, and loneliness into love.
These are roughs - "concept sketches for concept sketches," if you will - for the webcomic I'm working on - along with a few unfinished works. I'm going to either draw over them or eyeball them onto another sheet of paper, then ink them - for the final versions.◊
They were all done within two weeks IIRC, and represent maybe a 3rd or 4th of my output during that time.
Also, these are less than half of the characters I need to design just for the first portion of the story. And I'll eventually need full-body shots for them all.
Gonna go die of exhaustion now. Kthxbai.
