Things are done here methinks, not enough interest. Thanks for playing! Perhaps we can meet again in another RP.

I will peel your skin off and put you in a box full of hungry rats. All because I feel like it."Yup. That tasted purple."
*pats*Don't be too sad, DBL.

I will peel your skin off and put you in a box full of hungry rats. All because I feel like it.Copy loss of interest. We've been hemorrhaging players. (I suppose it doesn't help that the new GMs-in-charge were unfamiliar with the source material.)
For me, the biggest problem was simple creep: the game expanded to cover a scale I couldn't handle. A single world, yes; one or two groups working in close promixity, yes. But the whole multiversal concept was rather overwhelming. Additionally, I'm not comfortable controlling a hack-and-slash adventure game, not without an extensive, well-developed world behind it; intrigue and strategy is more my style.
Finally, there was the simple logistical issue of having too many players. Damned hard to seamlessly introduce a new character in this game and bring them up to speed, even though that was what the game was about. From what I understand, Altimeter/Pies/whoever-the-original-GM-was had one idea in mind; Cygan had to adapt it when she took over; the rest of us had to adapt it further more recently, and there's too much detritus, too much deadweight in storylines and concepts and characters each time it had to be changed stylistically.
So. All that said, the question is, what now?
Though I'm in favor of finally putting the original Twilight of the Stars game to rest, I think I've got enough momentum and storyline material invested to have a new game going, if interest exists for it. Only, it'll be a more-or-less fresh start. Naturally this entails a new sign-up thread, possibly a new discussion thread, definitely a new game thread. The basic premise remains the same: new threats, multiversal war, forces of darkness, KH multiverse, all that. The actual story may be a little different. It will take a while to set up—if it gets going. This is contingent on interest, though.
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.Aw man and I just got started on catching up. ;A;
On the other hand, I can see what you guys mean by the lack of interest. I think Sabre's idea sounds nice; I kinda lost interest in Loki after the Erin plot was abandoned TBH, so rebooting the game all over should probably make things feel fresh again and attract newcomers.

"Your Sig is now charmingly out of date" — Vox, 7/6/2016I would definitely be interested in the game, Sabre. Most of the R Ps I've joined recently ran dry.
*goes to blow the dust off my OC*
"Yup. That tasted purple."I'd be interested. I've got at least a few characters in mind.
I will peel your skin off and put you in a box full of hungry rats. All because I feel like it.Actually, how many Retcons will he need? [/rhetorical question]
"Yup. That tasted purple."Quite a lot. I'm thinking of having it be an entirely new game; links to Kingdom Hearts would be fewer, though still extant.
I'm sorry, I'm still trying to set up all the logistics for it.
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.Right, so a character that ingrained isn't practical.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Im game for a different game. Perhaps it could be titled "Universe in Chaos"?
Perhaps.
Actually, I've given it more thought, and unfortunately I must change my mind about GM'ing a multiversal game. Again, it's the sheer overwhelming scale of the thing: I'm much more comfortable focusing on one world, one setting, and let the political intrigues develop with a vengeance. Each time we visit a new world, I want it to be a fully-developed setting with its own conflict and its own characters...which makes things impracticable when we scale things up to the multiverse. It doesn't help that my vision of combat resembles tactical shooters and TRPGs more than anime (in case you weren't able to tell).
So while I am thinking of starting up a new forum RP one of these days, I'm afraid that KH:TotS Bravo will not be happening—not under my control, anyway.
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.SO what's the new RP?
Bit slow on the draw, aren't you?
It's kind of funny. Sufficiently advanced stupidity is like sufficiently advanced science; eventually, you find something you can't solve.Even slower to respond. Sorry. Can't even remember why I stopped posting. Did that second game ever get created? I just remembered I had an account here.
Yeah, I'm out. Sabre, do whatever you wish to Vigil. I don't care anymore. Later.
Against all tyrants.
