One massive GURPS campaign gone way off the rails. I cant think of any other reason the very episode after kamina dies nia joins the cast.

I can totally picture the GM inventing "Spiral Power" to explain how the party can win battles at the beginning - and then the players coming up with more and more ridiculous ways to win fights with it while the GM struggles to bring the players back to the way the plot is supposed to go.

Gurren Lagaan = your typical Exalted campaign.

Trying to pin Kamina on the RPG player roles is so hard, you can make a case for every single one (well, except real roleplayer). He is proboubly 75% real man and 75% munchkin. I can Imagine him as the crazy chaotic neutral guy who is just in the game to break the system, and that's why he had to die. Simon was abit of the roleplayer at the beginning, but since Kamina died he takes up the munchkin mantle and things get way out of hand!

Nah, it was a Dungeons And Dragons 3.5e Eberron campaign set in the Mournland, with Simon as a kobold.*

After they defeated the Lord of Blades and rebuilt Cyre things got weird. Eventually they ended up using primordial warforged from Xen'drik to travel to Dal Quor and fight il'Lashtavar. During the fight, Simon becomes Pun-Pun.

the GURPS Idea sounds about right, my theory is that it was in idea(Not Universe) Mecha meets DBZ, but the GM forgot to place a Required Training Montage for everyone to reach the Crazy Pro Levels, so the Rate of Power Growth was never really Capped for High Tier Play, at least on the P Cs side(NP Cs Still sucked and had normal Power Scaling) and so everyone just Got EPIC whenever they damn well pleased and so, yes Rocks Fall Everyone Dies had to be invoked with Only Kamina(The most egregious offender of Abusing the Lack of a Limiter) being a real Casualty

Then Nia showed and at this point Simon's Rage Induced Spiral Fails and the fact that both their Spirit and Willpower had taken Hits that most had Failed(Simon Badly) Saving Throws or an equivalent(I don't play GURPS so not sure exactly what kind of way a Save is made) had provided an excuse to FINALLY lay a Limiter on Power Acceleration so that they needed a LOT more to reach the kind of Power Level they had for the Anti-Spirals at the End

What happens if Crazy Awesome Action Heroes get their hands on reality-breaking Humongous Mechas while defying cosmic horrors and inspiring the audience to find happiness after conquering strife. That or The Enlightenment with mechas.
