Playing With: Discussed/Conversed fixing examples.

Many people are thinking that Discussed Trope and Conversed Trope mean "random conversation that might take place if this situation were to come up" on the Playing With pages Discussed Trope in particular has a very specific meaning. I started an effort once to fix these examples, but there are just too many of them. I need a way to organize the fixing so it can get done and also many more people to fix these two definitions in particular. A method of prevention might also be necessary though I have no idea how that might be done.

So my interpretation is as follows;

Conversed Trope: Characters are merely engaging in Conversational Troping as part of a Seinfeldian Conversation, and a particular trope happens to come up.

Discussed Trope: A trope which relates to the situation at hand is mentioned as a method of Lampshade Hanging, whether it is actually used, or is subverted or defied.

I agree with that interpretation.

Discussed: "Why is this thing always happening that way to us?"

Lampshaded: "Why is this thing, that's like a specific movie cliche, happening to us?"

Conversed: "Why is this thing always happening in movies that way?"

Discussed is more like "If this were a movie, this thing would happen right now." Like I said, it's very specific. "Why is this always happening to us?" is more Lampshade Hanging.

After reading the page, it's less than clear, but the page says only the third bullet point counts.
