I suggest cleaning up the images a bit and getting a more defined outline. It should make all the details fit better to the images. At times it's hard to tell the outlines from the details on the different things.
What am I doing here again? What are you doing here? I lurk around at Deviantart rather than here.

Have you tried a contrast adjustment? If you're drawing on white paper, it would be closer to what you're drawing if it was closer to white on the screen. If you're not drawing on white paper, I suggest drawing on white paper.

Yeah the detail muddling...tis a problem I'm going to be working on very soon.
And yes, I draw on white paper.

I agree about the contrast. You might want to look up a tutorial for cleaning up lineart scans.
