Reposting from the Megami Tensei fanfiction thread.

An idea that came to mind after reading an Assassin's Creed/FSN story is a Persona 4-based story with a dash of Assassin's Creed/Martin Mystery (Cartoon) and a combination of the Raidou-era Devil Summoner and Soul Hackers. The plot idea I got in my head with Yu Narukami as a Center agent sent to Yasoinaba after receiving a warning from Yatagarasu's Herald that a dark force is at work in the town. This Narukami is an orphan though, which allows more leeway with the plot. Later on, it'll be revealed that Narukami is also an Assassin and he's ordered to take down the culprit behind the killings in Yasoinaba after saving Saki from being kidnapped during a surveillance op. Later after the end of the P4 events, Narukami is sent off to Amami City under the disguise of anti-paranormal ops to assassinate Nishi and Kadokura due to their involvement with the Templars in the creation of Paradigm X.

Or another option is an OC, like I always do. My idea is the twin brother of Yukiko, who was kidnapped by Templars in order to create their own elite assassin against the Assassin Order before he was rescued by the group he was going to be fighting against. Otherwise, same stuff as above.

Another idea based (albeit rather loosely) on a set of Sillof figures: An Elseworlds retelling of Star Wars set on Earth in an Alternate History version of World War II.

The Jedi are the J.E.D.I. (the Judicial corps for Extranormal Defense and Intelligence), a secret sect of the Freemasons with access to biotic psychic powers and Raygun Gothic technology that they got by salvaging crashed alien spaceships over the years and locking them in their military bases.

Anakin Skywalker is Akan Vaderius Walker, an evil former J.E.D.I. scientist who went rogue and defected to Nazi Germany to sell alien technology to the Führer's army, building himself a shiny black cyborg body in the process.

Luke Skywalker is Lucas Walker, Vaderius' long-lost son who grew up as an Oklahoma farmboy in the Dust Bowl, and gets recruited into the J.E.D.I. by a secret agent named Obadiah "Ben" Kenworthy. Together, they go off to rescue a beautiful English countess who was captured by the Nazis after discovering the plans to Vaderius' latest super-weapon. Along the way, they're forced to seek help from the roguish smuggler pilot Harry "Solo" Soles and his co-pilot "Chewtoy" (an escaped prisoner from Vaderius' labs, who was mutated into a human-werewolf hybrid by one of Vaderius' experiments).

Somewhere along the way, Lucas is forced to travel to the bombed-out ruins of Dresden to seek guidance from a half-crazed former J.E.D.I. scientist—an elderly dwarf who was left with green skin after using J.E.D.I. technology to artificially extend his life. And somewhere in the second act, the remaining J.E.D.I. agents set up a secret base in Mysterious Antarctica.

[up]Makes more sense then the original although I don't see how you could plausibly fit lightsabers in that kind of sabers. Only complaint would be Chewie being a mutant.

Okay, so the general premise is that Lelouch was the 11th primarch (get it, 11th prince=11th...nvm). He didn't take part in the Horus Heresy due to the fact he and the emperor forsaw the arrival of the Tyranids and took off with the 20th legion and it's primarch to intercept them before they could start munching on worlds and multiplying.

He won, but it took over ten thousand years to do it and the 20th legion ended up completely wiped out. Lelouch's own legion was pretty badly mauled. This of course implies that hive fleets Behemoth, Leviathan, and Kraken are just splinter fleets of the main tyranid swarm. Scary thought, eh?

So Lelouch takes one look at the state of the imperium, winces, then marches into the halls of the high lords of terra, busts open the door (well, brother captain Kururugi did it for him, Lelouch is still a wimp), and declares himself Lord Commander of the imperium. The grand master of the officio assassinorum is the first to protest. Lelouch commands him to kill himself. The grand master obeys.

So the first thing Lelouch does is signs a treaty with the Tau, ending general hostilities and placing all the worlds north of the realm of Ultramar under probational Tau rule. While this is seen as heretical to most, it effectively neutralizes the Tau as they are now a minority in their own empire. The Tau empire can't complain since their neck deep in 'nids for the next ten years (Imp guard refuses to help them).

That's about it for what I've got planned. What do you think?

[up]Doesn't necessarily have to include lightsabers. If it does, they could be limited-use "experimental" weapons that only J.E.D.I. operatives have access to.

That was always one of my pet peeves with the movies: they never explain why only Jedi can use lightsabers, when they shouldn't be that hard for average Joes to learn with a little bit of practice. But if sabers are secret technology that most people don't know about, it would make sense.

I have the idea for a crossover between The Hunger Games and Escape From New York, which I like to call, "Escape from District 12". Snake Plissken is hired to investigate the nation of Panem, which occupies several former states, when the new president feels uneasy at the smaller country's isolationism. Infiltrating the nation, Snake discovers Panem's infamous national pastime, the Hunger Games, a state-sponsored execution of children under the guise of a competition. Snake joins with an underground resistance movement against the Panemese government to send a message to the outside world before the paranoid U.S. president launches an invasion.

So, I'm working on my Naruto & Vampire The Masquerade crossover fanfiction.

Here's the basic gist of it, Konoha is re-imagined as a modern-day Gothic Punk city with modern technology such as guns, cars, and computers, and the characters of Naruto are re-imagined as vampires from the vampire clans of Vampire: The Masquerade.

There are seven main clans in Vampire: The Masquerade (well, more like 13, but these are the seven that are being focused on).

  • Brujah: Rebels, warriors, outlaws, and Badass Biker types, the Brujah are fierce fighters and passionate, proud vampires who are prone to frenzy and anger.
  • Gangrel: Beastly, savage, and feral vampires with a connection to nature and a penchant for violence.
  • Malkavian: Madmen, lunatics, weirdos, seers, and prophets, the Malkavians are all cursed with insanity to some degree or another.
  • Nosferatu: The Nosferatu are grotesque, hideous, monstrous, and ugly vampires that lurk in the darkest reaches of vampiric society.
  • Toreador: Artists and lovers obssessed with beauty, the Toreador are the typical romantic, beautiful vampires.
  • Tremere: Warlocks and occultists who practice black magic
  • Ventrue: Aristocrats, businessmen, wealthy tyrants, and leaders of all kinds. The Ventrue are Wicked Cultured and generally powerful.

Here's who I have in which clans so far.

  • Brujah
    • Kurenai Yuhi
    • Sakura Haruno
    • Kushina Uzumaki
    • Ino Yamanaka
    • Rock Lee
    • Itachi Uchiha

I have a random fanfic idea chronicling the lives of a fictional My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic fan club and the members in it as they go through some pretty rough trials that the show deals to them, like an episode that splits the club so hard, one of the members leaves the club and fandom in frustration. I have some plot thought out, though they're mostly for the end game of the story, like one of the members telling the others about the controversy such as the C&D order put on Fighting Is Magic, the then-rumored Equestria Girls being confirmed, and ceasing production of the Bronies documentary. Then the member who left returns to tell them the final controversy (not saying it, but if you know MLP's third season, you'll know what I mean). He then gives them a "Reason You Suck" Speech to the group, pointing out that they're only in the fandom for reasons that are not enjoying the show or celebrating friendship and asks them why they're watching the show to begin with. This causes some Heroic BSODs in everyone in the club as they figure out why they're in the club and their placement in it.

I don't know why I thought of this idea, but looking at the wars over MLP gave me some idea that this could be a good story to write. The story takes place during Season 2 and Season 3's run. The characters in the club are: (I had this idea of naming them their nickname as opposed to their real name for some reason)

  • Caged Rock: The head of the Brony Club and an overall optimistic member. He started the club which only had a few members at first, then, as the new school year rolled around, many people joined the club, but as stated above, for different reasons.
  • Rodrun: Caged Rock's closest friend. He joined the club soon after its forming and watched the show, not knowing why he likes it or why he's still in the club, given that he thinks the show's okay, but not as great as other people say it is.
  • Lovelace: The youngest member of the club. At first, he's rather shy and keeps to himself, but later on opens up to people. He joined the club after seeing a picture of a humanized Fluttershy and falling in love with it, not knowing who she is. After being told, he joined the club and watched the show only for Fluttershy. He's named Lovelace due to the obvious crush he has.
  • Gremlin: If there's one person Caged Rock hates, it's Gremlin. He makes it clear from day one that he's a troll who relishes more in the irritation of bronies than the show itself and that his favorite character is Celestia... until he actually sees the show and sees that she's not the tyrant troll that the fandom worked her up to be. He did like Discord though. Like his namesake, he finds tricking people and trolling them to be fun, to the point where his favorite show is Puella Magi Madoka Magica, though only because of the infamous "watch the first three episodes in one sitting" trick. He's named Gremlin due to his trolly nature, and later attributes the name to Sora after he debuts in his show.
  • Motor Rider: A guy who joined the club because he was forced to join a club and mistook this club for a Brownie Club. However, he takes an odd liking to the show and spends his time writing and drawing comics about the show. He later reveals that he likes the fanfiction of the show more than the show itself. His name is Motor Rider because Caged Rock saw drawings of "Power Rangers on motorcycles" and his desire to start a Kamen Rider Club, especially after watching Fourze.
  • Fairy Dust: The only girl in the group. She keeps her reason for joining the mostly-male club secret, and so their conclusions are that she either joined to be Nerd Nanny or to prove she's One of the Boys. Her reason for joining is really that she was raised on Generation 3 and that watching Friendship Is Magic is a rush of nostalgia to her, what most people, Caged Rock included, consider the worst of the Generations, next to only 3.5.

Highball: An ongoing series about Hal Jordan's adventures in the DC Animated Universe as a Badass Normal pilot-for-hire, in a continuity where Abin Sur gave Kyle Rayner the power ring instead of him.

Instead of becoming the Green Lantern, Hal is left to wander the world looking for adventures, getting by with nothing but his quick wits, his courage and his piloting skills. Cue a long series of Two-Fisted Tales where he tangles with gangsters, Femme Fatales, bounty hunters and government agents in the seedy underworld of private piloting, all in his ongoing quest for his next payday.

It always annoyed me that the main DCAU never mentioned or acknowledged Hal (my personal favorite Green Lantern), but I think it also opens up a cool opportunity to show what "Highball Hal" would have gotten up to in a world where he didn't have the responsibilities of a superhero, and was just a cocky Ace Pilot with a taste for adventure.

I've posted this idea on every League of Extraordinary Gentlemen thread I could find on this site, but here goes again:

A classic Crisis Crossover set in the League universe's version of America in The '70s, bringing together a motley crew of period-appropriate adventurers (all of whom are loose analogues of members of the original Victorian League) for a Saving the World plot involving Kaiju, the Great Old Ones, Japanese Megacorporations, Humongous Mecha, and the Flux Capacitor.

The lineup:

  • "Mrs. Driscoll", a mysterious aging movie star who's rumored to have once survived an encounter with a giant monster that wrecked New York City in the 1930s. Went into seclusion after her husband, sea captain Jack Driscoll, was driven insane following an encounter with the Cthulhu Cult during one of his voyages in the South Pacific. (The Mina Murray analogue)
  • Harry Callahan, a burned-out former Cowboy Cop who moved to New York to become a Private Investigator after being kicked off the San Francisco Police Department. Joins the League following a near-fatal brush with mobster Michael Corleone. (The Allan Quatermain analogue)
  • Dr. Daisuke Serizawa, a fugitive Japanese scientist who has been presumed dead and in hiding since faking his death in the 1950s, in an apparent Heroic Sacrifice using one of his own inventions. Currently on the run from Yakuza hitmen and government agents who want to get their hands on his Oxygen Destroyer. (The Captain Nemo analogue)
  • Carrietta White, a mentally traumatized teenage psychic who's been undergoing therapy in a government research center ever since going on a rampage that destroyed her home town. (The Henry Jekyll analogue)
  • "Calvin Klein", a cynical twenty-something thrill-seeker in a Delorean (true identity unknown) who has inexplicably had multiple documented appearances centuries apart from each other. With no permanent friends or acquaintances, and no permanent consequences for his actions, he'll do anything for kicks. (The Hawley Griffin analogue)
  • Professor Marcus Brody, a brilliant archaeology professor who faked his death after World War II after secretly using the Holy Grail to make himself immortal. Presides over a collection of mythic artifacts at Barnett College, where he forms a base of operations for the League. The League, which he leads, officially knows him as "M" ("M" for "Marcus"). (The Mycroft Holmes analogue)

My recent thing has been Discworld fanfic. I have a couple of concepts, one that I've actually developed (and started writing.)

First Concept: Truth and Grief. It's after the novel Interesting Times. Twoflower is remembering his late wife, and the day she taught him the meaning of white chrysanthemums (the flowers of truth and grief, often used in funerals.) It begins with a flashback of them meeting in a park, and ends with Twoflower leaving two white chrysanthemums at his wife's grave.

Second Concept: Untitled. Actually, it's just a plot bunny that I thought would be interesting, especially now that I'm in the middle of reading Unseen Academicals. The basic idea is "Someone wants the good old bad days of wizardry (powergrabs, assassinations) to come back. Somehow, Archchancellor Ridcully and Ponder Stibbons get trapped and/or imprisoned, and have to find some way to escape and stop all hell from breaking loose in the UU. This plot bunny may hop away from me was a mere passing thought, and I may even give it up for adoption but... I thought it would be a neat idea.

I've got a vague idea for making an anime/videogame crossover take on Zettai Hero Project. Earth would be a massive crossover with characters from various anime and videogames fulfilling the roles of characters from Zettai Hero Project. Pirohiko's role would be filled by Kamina. Etranger would probably be filled by either Yue or Naze. Main Character I still haven't decided on, though I've thought about using Kenichi, Gosunkugi, and Shinji. I also thought about using Simon, but decided against it since too much of both his and Kamina's characters rely on them knowing each other, and a big part of the plot of Zettai Hero Project is Pirohiko and Main Character not knowing each other prior to Pirohiko dying. And I have no clue who would replace Darkdeath Evilman.

The other, less important characters would probably be replaced on a case by case basis by whoever I felt like. The versions of then on Bizarro Earth would be pretty much their canonical versions, while their Earth counterparts would be blatantly AU.

Of course, before I could even think of writing this, I need to actually finish playing Zettai Hero Project. Writing a fanfic about something without knowing its plot twists is a good way to screw things up.

I remember some fanfic writers doing a universe consisting of Eva characters assuming DC Superhero/villain identities.

I'm wondering what if we can do a similar one, except with teams that consist of characters voiced by a certain person? Examples include the Akio Suyama Team and the Crispin Freeman Team.

Random fanfic idea is that it's a sort of Slice of Life fanfic featuring characters that have ascended to a higher plane of existence or are so powerful they're considered gods traversing the multiverse in search of a place to call their own, since most of the Ascents have been ejected from their home world one way or the other.

The characters are denoted by the color lights they shine when they travel through the multiverse. The main band we focus on are...

I had an idea for a Transformers Prime "What if?" fic in which Smokescreen chooses to fulfill his role as a Prime and let OP die. It would lead to him becoming more powerhungry and become more of a dictator-like leader who rules over Cybertron with an iron fist. I eventually dropped the idea both because I have my other fic to work on, and because I feel I would make it grittier than it already sounded.

I went to see the movie Epic with a friend over the semester break, and was annoyed by the false good/evil dichotomy in it. I had an idea for a fanfic in which the 'pod' *

blooms in darkness and creates a Boggan prince instead of a new queen, just like the Big Bad said it would - but the Leaf Men decide to raise him/her anyway.

I'm nowhere near invested enough in that movie to go to the effort, but it would be interesting.

I'm currently trying to think of ideas for a Slayers fanfic starring Naga in a kind of role reversal; instead of being the one always following Lina, she ends up having someone following her (due to a life debt). Said someone is a blond swordsman, mirroring Gourry in some ways.

I've got the first chapter down, and I have a good idea how I want the relationship to develop, but I need to think of some actual plot stuff, and right now the only real end goal I have is Naga trying to find Lina. I also wanted to delve into why exactly Naga is/was always tagging along with Lina and why she's such an attention seeker, with the reason being she's really kind of lonely. And possibly that her arrogance is partly affected, and Naga is using the act to overcompensate for some lingering self-doubt. I think I need to do a little more research on her character though.

The swordsman himself is almost obsessive with his dedication to his life debt, and this stems from a past tragedy; he was captured and tortured into betraying someone he pledged loyalty to. He really lost his way after that, and he sees Naga saving his life as a second chance to redeem himself. But Naga isn't the easiest person to be around, with her Noblewoman's Laugh, haughtiness, and constantly ordering him around and making him pay for most of their supplies and food. It really drives him nuts sometimes, but because of his Freudian Excuse he will not leave her no matter how bad it gets. And of course, Naga sometimes feels like the swordsman can be too protective of her and nagging.

It's not all bad though and things do get better; the swordsman has a lot of self-doubt and really does admire Naga's incredible self-confidence, and Naga secretly appreciates having someone so willing to put up with her rather extreme personality.

I know OCs are often frowned upon, but I really couldn't think of a canon character that would fit the life debter role, and I don't want to try and warp a character into fitting it. One more thing, should I make an All-Purpose Slayers Fan-Fic thread? There's doesn't seem to be one, but I'm not sure it will be very popular.

I've been thinking about a Percy Jackson/Harry Potter Crossover that focuses on politics and culture clash.

Mainly how do you guys think the Ministry of Magic (and Voldemort's group) would react to the existence of Demi-Gods and more importantly the Greek Pantheon? I do expect a few Wizards to at least try at Bullying a Dragon.

The Demi-Gods though possibly surprised would be to me "Kay, whatever" , I just don't expect them to do anything unless their divine daddies and mommies give marching orders or they're attacked first.
