To answer your questions in order:

1. Because the entire (real) series takes place in Great Britain, so we're already accustomed to what the wizarding world is like there. If my character spends, say, a third of the plot in America, we get to see what the magical community is like elsewhere on Earth. I get to play around with more characters of my own invention and explore the whole idea of incognito wizards from a different point of view.

2. "Guy who does your snoop work for you" sounds like a pretty universal profession; given that it doesn't require much technology at its base, I can't imagine the wizarding world has gone without it. And a small creature that can sneak in and out of places unnoticed (or noticed, but more or less ignored) sounds like a pretty ideal candidate for the job.

3. Here's my idea: remember that part in Shrek 2 where the King hires an ogre killer, and is surprised to find out he's just a teeny tiny little kitty? It'd be something like that. Besides, his client in this story is Hermione, who's all into the elves-are-people-too scene, so she'd probably be okay with letting whatshisface work for her. If only to give herself a pat in the back about how progressive she is later.

4. Yeah, I know, but this is pretty much for the lulz. The huge difference between my guy and your ordinary house elf can probably be a decent source of jokes. Kind of like when Calvin launches into a Tracer Bullet fantasy, thinking of himself as extremely cool and badass whereas in reality people think he's either cute or unbearable. That's what I'd be going for.

So there ya have it. Any better?

"Those Who Stand Their Ground," a Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3 story that gives a campaign mode to the DLC pilots who are otherwise left in the lurch. Will be used to shamelessly vent my hatred of Glemy Toto for the whole deal revolving around the Puru clones and Marida Cruz's backstory. Also will involve one original pilot.

Here's a Transformers fic idea I have. Not sure if it's any good, though.

Role Reversal: Megatron gets kidnapped, and Starscream has to come to his rescue. They're out on a mission in some Cybertronian city, and they end up in some kinda tower/apartment block/warehouse thingy, and Megs gets snatched by the owner of the place (maybe the kidnapper wants Megatron as some kinda trophy, and he manages to disable the mech's weapons, and maybe drug him so he doesn't put up much of a fight – maybe he uses a general stasis field that impedes electronic signals, thus paralyzing Megatron). Star's all for letting him stay there, but learns that if he doesn't save Megs and find the way out within a certain time limit, they'll be stuck there forever - and to make matters worse, the technology in the building negates Star's ability to fly, so he's basically grounded (he IS given a few gadgets and weapons to help him in the owner's sadistic game, though). And there may or may not be slash.

So, whadda we think?

I just had a really neat (but dark) The Incredibles fanfiction idea and I want to know if there's any interest in it! :D

It would be from the perspective of a young, dying boy (your basic Littlest Cancer Patient), recounting a time earlier that month, when, through a Make-A-Wish Foundation standin, he was briefly Mr. Incredible's sidekick. Since then, his condition has worsened to the point that, at the time of the fic, he can't even speak, but he's still hanging on. Then, he gets a visitor, an older boy who isn't explicitly named, but, through their physical description, we can determine that they're Buddy Pine - rapidly becoming Syndrome.

Buddy tells our character what's been going on in the outside world. The Supers are being sued, and are losing their reputation. Buddy uses this fact to cast doubt on Mr. Incredible's motivations - he probably just fulfilled the boy's wish for publicity reasons. He then begins to dwell on that moment when the boy was Mr. Incredible's sidekick. Buddy becomes increasingly angry and hateful, ranting about how the boy did nothing but get himself sick, but got the attention that Buddy deserved instead. He accuses the main character of being a leech and sabotages his life support system, leaving him to a painful death. It would be noted that this was Syndrome's first murder, and the fic would end here.

Ezio Auditore is investigating the last known resting place of one of the Pieces of Eden. According to the story passed to him a group assassins and templars were fighting over the piece a couple of centuries ago but both mysteriously disappeared in the middle of the battle.

Sure enough Ezio finds the artefact, but as soon as he touches it the thing spontaneously activates and Ezio blacks out. When he wakes up he finds himself in a land he doesn't recognise and which seems to be a couple of centuries behind his own.

As he wanders the city he finds himself in when he sees a young girl being pursued by a group of armed men. Ezio follows with the intent of intervening.

After dealing with the soldiers Ezio talks to the girl and discovers that she really doesn't have anywhere to go, so he uses his skills as a pickpocket to acquire the funds to secure them food and lodging for the night.

Once they have a room at an inn he talks to the girl again and manages to find out that her name is Arya Stark. With time and patience he is able to convince her to tell him her story, about her farther being falsely accused and executed and her own desire for revenge.

Naturally this strikes a cord with Ezio and seeing that she is determined to do it offers to train her on the provision that she waits until he says she is ready. Having seen the skill and ease with which he dealt with her pursuers earlier Arya accepts.

That night or a couple of nights later Ezio sneaks in to the castle in an attempt to find Arya's sister. He fails to get her out but while there he discovers something disturbing, according documents he found the Lannisters (or at least Tywin) are Templars.

After escaping Ezio theorises that during the battle over the Piece of Eden centuries ago, it activated and transported both groups to this world where they continued their war. Eventually the Templars won. However the fact that this land is not yet completely under their thumb suggests that their victory is relatively recent.

So once again Ezio is faced with the task of rebuilding the Assassin order. And the next day begins Arya's training.

There is an idea partially inspired by TV Tropes and my own experiences with the Insecurities thread, with the Avatar The Last Airbender characters. It's set in a high-school AU, and it is actually for the most part a serious attempt to have the Avatar characters working in a modern environment, albeit with bumped-up ages and a few deviations in their backstories.

Aang is a new kid at Four Points High School, Michigan. The first day, he's bullied to an extreme degree after an accidental confrontation between him and a certain young blind girl. He manages to hide in the library at lunch, and is found by Sokka who, having heard about the new kid, searched for him. He quickly befriends the young bald boy, and soon re-introduces him to Toph. The three start off fairly shakily.

After lunch, Aang spends a free period in the library where he meets a fairly pretty girl: Katara. They pick the same book out (there were 2 copies), and from there they too build up a friendship. By chance, Sokka is her brother. Later on, Aang invites everyone to his place, and it's this which cements their friendship.

Yeah, the fic starts off with pacing issues. But there's far more than the standard "Gaang are teenagers in modern high school blah blah blah" dreck. The fic is called Aangst, because Aang is actually in a really freaking dark place and nearing suicide during the fic. He covers it up well in real life, but online he spills it out in a forum thread. Katara stumbles upon a photo of Aang on the forum and basically creeps on his posts and finds out. From this, she has to get close to him to try and resolve his issues. And these issues aren't easily solved with an Escape the Fate CD: the kid has some really heavy stuff bugging him.

That's already spoilery enough. If you like the idea of the fic and would like to read it, I wouldn't read any further: there will be unspoilered plot points and such, because if I used spoiler tags the whole time, the rest of this post would just be a big patch of white.

The reason Aang is so depressed is because his family died in a fire, and the rest of his family was too selfish or not capable of taking care of him after the incident. He's bounced from place to place and finally settled in Four Points, but even now he's being jerked around. His developing sexuality is also playing havoc with him, and this contributes to the angst: he feels more like an outcast because he's not afraid to experiment. Katara tries to help him online (without telling him it's her, of course), but he pushes her away, leaving her to make an effort in real life. But to do that, she needs to get him to tell her.

That's the driving point behind the fiction: Katara fighting the clock and trying to get Aang to let it all out and be helped, before he does something rash. But there's another path, one I began to really flesh out halfway through the planning stages.

Sokka is with Suki, who's the only other living castmate from the show. Sokka and Suki's relationship is touched upon during the fic, and it's pretty... well, it's meh. Sokka still misses Yue, who died of a currently unspecified reason (I'm getting there, alright). This causes a bit of tension, but for the most part, things are cool.

Then Suki has to leave, and to say this leaves Sokka in a bad way would be an understatement. He goes on a manic depressive spiel, and he and Toph end up fighting. After she saves his ass in a fight, the relationship is heavily damaged by Sokka.

Due to earlier shenanigans and the recent fight, Toph's parents decide to cut Toph off from the outside again; she had to fight them tooth-and-nail just to attend high school. This includes Sokka, because he did get her in most of the trouble she found herself in. Toph reacts badly, and she's locked in her room. She manages to get out the window and jump the fence, and she rushes to see Sokka to see if she can fix what's left of their friendship.

The problem is that she is still blind in this continuity, so she has to rely on her other 4 senses (which she's shown to have honed) and her memory to try and retrace the steps from her place to Sokka's. Every time she comes across a significant place (somewhere they stop along the way, or a place they hang out), she remembers the good times they had together. By the end, she makes it to his apartment, but he turns her away. She barges her way into the apartment and tells him to wake up to himself. She then flips her shit, and tells him what he means to her: he was her first friend, and his friendship was one of the best things to ever happen to her. If she loses that, than she's lost everything.

Sokka wakes up to himself, and issues an apology. He soberly asks if there's anything he can do, and Toph replies with "Hold me."

By the end of the fic, Aang has told Katara everything and is on the mend, and Toph and Sokka are still friends, and possibly moving towards a relationship. Toph's arranged a deal with her parents to see if she can stay in school, so the story ends on a bright note.

That's my idea. If you've actually read all of that, I really do want to thank you for showing interest in my idea. It's one I consider important enough to attempt writing, and I've already written 3 chapters, with the first one published. Just ask and I can link you to it.

I'm thinking of getting back into the How To Train Your Dragon fandom and jumping on the "AU where Hiccup leaves" bandwagon, but as a series of loosely connected oneshots instead of a coherent story. I think I've found a list of prompts that I like.

Here's my idea for a Mega Crossover Fusion Fic for Fallout: New Vegas.

It's an AU fic where Caesar's Legion are the heroes (the misogyny and slavery is done away with) and the NCR are the villians, the NCR elite are Knight Templar Church Militant figures of the Judeo-Christian variety, while the rank-and-file NCR soldiers and citizens are deranged inbred Scots-Irish Appalachian hillbillies.

And just so you know, none of this is meant to be taken seriously

Here's my cast....

  • The Courier: Yuffie Kisaragi
  • Benny Gecko: Tommy Vercetti
  • Mr. House: Hojo
  • Caesar: Neo-Queen Serenity
  • President Kimball: Fred Phelps
  • Legate Lanius: Makoto Kino
  • General Lee Oliver: Sephiroth
  • Vulpes Inculta: Ada Wong
  • Chief Hanlon: Larry the Cable Guy
  • Lucius: Riku
  • Arcade Gannon: Otacon (This time, Otacon supports the Legion and loathes the NCR)
  • Veronica Santangelo: Aerith Gainsborough
  • Craig Boone: Early Culyer
  • Elder Mc Namara: Rangiku Matsumoto
  • Joshua Graham: Kakashi Hatake (In this AU, Kakashi was the Field Marshal of the NCR forces instead of the first Legate of the Legion)
  • Doc Mitchell: Tsunade
  • Sunny Smiles: Sakura Haruno
  • Joe Cobb: Johnny Gat
  • Ulysses: Chris Keller
  • Christine Royce: Tifa Lockheart
  • Aurelius of Phoenix: Vincent Valentine (This time, he's a vampire instead of a cannibal)
  • Salt-Upon-Wounds: Jesco White
  • Big Sal: Salvatore Leone
  • Papa Khan: Mello
  • Jessup: Matt
  • Mortimer: Tuxedo Mask
  • Judah Kreger: Colonel Campbell
  • Cannibal Johnson: Solid Snake
  • Orion Moreno: Raiden
  • Doctor Henry: Mei Ling
  • Daisy Whitman: Meryl Silverburgh
  • Mr. New Vegas: Lazlow Jones
  • Julie Fawkes: Nurse Joy

WARNING: INCOMING WALL OF TEXT. A BIG ONE.

So, as you all know, Disney owns both Marvel and Star Wars now. And apparently so is Kingdom Hearts Originals (Please inform me if I'm wrong). Most of you can guess what happens next; however. My ideas for a fanfic involving all that plus MORE Final Fantasy is, in my opinion, quite extreme.

In short, I'm rewriting the Kingdom Hearts universe with more Final Fantasy, Marvel, and Star Wars. The long version...

Here's the storyline:

Before Birth by Sleep, there's this huge ass war, between the Jedi-Keyblader against the Sith-Hydra forces. Xehanort, Eraqus, Yensid (All three were younger here), Yoda, Captain America, the Nova Corps., The X-Men, Magneto, Red Skull, Baron Zemo, and Nick Fury (unsure whether to use the 616 white Fury or Sam Jackson Fury like in the movies, so he may or may not participate.) were some of the major participants. This battle have been going on for years.

From the Star Wars perspective, this take places sometime in Episode III, like in the CGI series or the animated one, your choice. In the background, Xehanort made a deal with the Emperor/Darth Sidious to spare the Keybladers from Order 66. A few months later, said order happened. And yes, following the Star Wars canon as hundreds of Jedi were slaughtered. However, most of the Keyblader either joined he Jedi to fight the Clone Troopers, many of them died, while the other half chose self exile and will not be hunted by the Empire, as per the deal. Having enough of the bloodshed, Yensid retired being a Master Keyblader, which lead him to meet a certain famous mouse and his rabbit brother. Nick Fury kept in contact with the Keyblade Masters, and occasionally Yoda.

Meanwhile, most of the Sith were killed by Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants and the X-Men, which cost Magneto's his mutants allies, Xavier his legs (no, they're not severed via lightsabers) and his friendship with Magneto. Oh, and Wolverine is somewhere here in this story, doing whatever you know he's best at.

During the vacuum of power, the Galactic Empire expanded towards other worlds, one of which is the world of Final Fantasy II, where the Emperor made an alliance of sorts with Mateus Palamecia (aka The Emperor for those who knew him via Dissidia) He also made contact with the worlds of Final Fantasy I and III, where he also made an alliance with the world's respective antagonists, Garland (plus Chaos) and Xande. Cloud of Darkness isn't included since they didn't knew she/it existed... Except maybe Darth Sidious. HYDRA, led by Red Skull and Zemo, were conducting experiments with the Tesseract/Cosmic Cube in their world when it accidentally summon creatures and beings from other realms, one of which was Hades. Boy, was he pissed. During the time, Cap and Bucky was infiltrating them under Nick Fury's orders. As you can imagine, explosion ensues. In short, Cap fought Skull like in the movie, Bucky was there but fell and became a Popsicle, Skull disappeared like in the movie and of course it became Cap's turn to be a Popsicle. Hades captured most of the unknown creatures to his Underworld Colosseum. Zemo took charge of Hydra.

A few decades later, we enter the BBS timeline.

(I could add Dragon Quest or Chrono Trigger, but I'm not very familiar with either games, so maybe you guys could help)

Well, the story goes exactly how the game tells it, with a few things added.

Terra met the Warrior of Light, the hero of FFI/Dissidia, in Corneria; a neighboring kingdom to Radiant Garden. They fought, and became friends in the end. He helped Light fight the Four Fiends (from the 1st game, not the 4th), and along the way, they encountered Galen Marek, or as of this timeline, Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice Starkiller... You read it right, folks. wink After the battle, Terra talked with Starkiller before he fled, which would eventually lead to his Heel Face Turn. In a certain dungeon, Terra found Captain America, frozen in ice. As he thawed him out, he brought Steve to Radiant Garden, where incidentally, Nick Fury was there, escorting Princess Sarah of Corneria on a meeting.

Speaking of her, Kairi is her daughter. Rumor has it that she and Warrior of Light did the deed, and she's the result. Nobody dared to try finding out it's true or not, though.

Aqua wound up in the world of Final Fantasy II, she decided to assist Firion and his friends against the menace that is Mateus Palamecia and his army. Firion had a slight crush on her, and his adopted sister Maria does the jealous girl routine. Battle after battle, Aqua's feat began to be heard by the Empire. They sent Taskmaster and Boba Fett to capture her. Eventually, Aqua and the rebels defeated Mateus, and left to continue her journeys... But if you played FFII, you know that Firion's adventures hasn't ended just yet.

Ventus ends up in the world of Final Fantasy III... However, I'm undecided whether to use the DS version of the Onion Knights or the Dissidia one, or maybe a combination of both. Point is, that his adventures is softer and lighter here. Ventus and the Onion Knight(s) meets the Fantastic Four here.

By the way, Aqua and Ventus weren't present when Firion and the Onion Knight(s) fought their respective Big Bad, because by now, they're fighting Master Xehanort and Vanitas.

Good news, is that the trio were backed by the Warrior of Light, a recently turned good Starkiller/Galen Marek, and Captain America. Bad news, is that Xehanort also brought backup; Garland, Darth Vader, and Red Skull.

You guys know what happens in the game, right? Things go bad and they all got separated.

Warrior of Light and Garland were transported into an unknown place, where their final battle begins.

Galen and Vader were transported into the Death Star, and if you played Force Unleashed Light Sided, you know what happens next.

Cap and Skull got separated, each hoping to find the other so they can finish their fight.

And thus ends the Birth By Sleep timeline...

I could continue with Kingdom Hearts 1 through 3, but I'll make this short;

(The story of the games won't change much, basically the same)

KH 1 - The events are mostly the same, except Traverse Town is also Tatooine, Sora met Luke Skywalker and became friends. Basically Episode IV starts here. Imagine Donald Duck arguing with Han Solo [lol]

Maleficent also got help from Doctor Doom, HYDRA, Magneto, and Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin.

Sora then met Bartz Klauzer and his friends from FFV, fought Gilgamesh, and defeated Exdeath.

Afterwards, Sora meet the characters of Final Fantasy VI in their world, and helped them in the first part of the game, before Kefka became a god and all that jazz.

Sora also met the X-Men and Spider-Man. Either the cartoons, games, comics, or movie versions are fine. You wanna combine them? Sure, why not?

Oh, maybe Sora and Luke could be the ones who blew up the Death Star; X-Wing Gummi Ship, anybody?

Chain of Memories - Well, nothing plot related changed except Madame Webb and Doctor Strange is introduced here. Oh, while Sora was away, the events of the Marvel Movies after Iron Man happened.

358/2 Days - Org. XIII is rivals with HYDRA, later they fought Blade in Halloween Town, Taskmaster, Deadpool (which appears in II and later games), and many other heroes and villains. Xemnas allying with Loki and Oswald for who knows what, and Thanos becoming aware of the events of Kingdom Hearts, and became interested in observing it.

KHII - This time, Tarzan's back, and his stories are based on the animated series and the novels.

Pete and Mortimer is a team here, but Mortimer works for Oswald the Lucky Rabbit; Mickey's brother.

Sora came back to help Terra defeat God!Kefka, but this battle starts after you unlock KHII's final world.

The events of FFIV happens and Sora even helped defeat the final boss, Zeromus. In other worlds, also comes new party members; Musashi from Musashi Samurai Legends, Jim Hawkins of Treasure Planet, Chrono of Chrono Trigger, Richard Rider aka Nova, Zidane Tribal of FFIX, etc.

Ooh, new summons! Like those fighter planes from Einhander miniaturized (you can also make Einhander based Gummi Ships), Lenneth from Valkyrie Profile, some familiar Final Fantasy summons, Gilgamesh included. And well, you can add more if ya want XD

In Hollow Bastion, new characters like Adam Jensen of Deus Ex: Human Revolution appears. Nope, he never asked for this appearance, but screw it XD Ooh, maybe could be fought as a bonus boss?

Also, the 1000 Heartless battle also happens during the finale of The Avengers movie — Sora met the team during his first revisit to Hollow Bastion — so the aliens were there too alongside The Avengers, obviously. With guest stars like Iron Fist, Rocket Racoon, Ghost Rider, Super Skrull, etc.

Before that battle, Episode V happens, so Sora reunited with Luke (not sure whether in Hoth or Dagobah) and helped him fight Darth Vader in Cloud City... You know who must win here.

Remember John Carter of Mars? He's also written by Edgar Rice Burroughs and have a connection to Disney, so Imma include him. No, not based on the movie, but the books... So prepare yourselves for semi-nude Red Martian babes! evil grin Only the event of the movie/first story is covered here.

Mickey reunited with his brother Oswald, and fights him one on one. Oswald did all the bad things because his wife, Ortensia, and his 420 children was being held captive by Maleficent and HYDRA, but a meeting with Darth Sidious had... Changed him. Still, he snapped out of it, saved his family and reunited with his little half-brother Mickey. He even got his own Kingdom, too!

Well... That's it for KHII

coded - Well, it's a Breather Episode game, and the events solely happens within Jiminy's Journal

3D - I haven't played the game though, but the story didn't change much. Except for bonus bosses like Kain Highwind, Gilgamesh (FFXIII-2 version), animanga characters from To aru Majutsu no Index and Soul Eater (Their names pop up in the page for Square Enix, so connection established!), The Horned King from The Black Cauldron (wait, maybe the film's story could be put in the game), the Silver Surfer, Dormammu, etc.

During this event, Galen Marek, or rather his clone from Force Unleashed II, were busy with his events from said game. He traveled and fought many people along the way, like Adam Jensen (I know how this sounds, but you gotta admit it's awesome XD), Cloud and Leon/Squall, Vincent Valentine, the X-Force — particularly Wolverine, X-23, and Deadpool — Let's just say Rule of Cool is in effect. Galen meets with Mickey Mouse, hoping to find Yensid for advices and whatnot. In the end, he captured Vader, but since Force Unleashed III is no more, Vader escaped eventually.

KHIII -

Alright, since it's not done yet, here's what I wish would be added in this game.

Sora, Riku, and Kairi are the main party members, and they're in their early 20s. That's it. The stories could be anything, but Episode VI of Star Wars will happen. Galen Marek may or may not be alive by this time.

Since Tidus and Wakka are in their 20s by this time, the event of FFX could be possible. But the Auron Sora meets could either be the same one he met in Hades' Underworld or an Auron who is before he met Sora there.

Shantotto and Prishe from FFXI teaches Sora and Co. some magic and fighting skills, respectively. They're also bonus bosses.

Events from FFXII and XIII could possibly happen here, or not and only some of the characters pop up. Anybody up for a match between Sora and Gabranth, Riku vs Lightning, or Kairi vs Serah?

What about XIV? I dunno, you decide.

Hopefully, Sora and co. rescued Terra, Aqua, and Ventus came back from wherever they were, and participated in the grand finale, alongside Lea, Roxas, Xion, Namine, and other heroes.

The events of the John Carter novels continues with his children and the man himself.

Alright, I'm done!

Forgive me for typing something this damn long... But this idea is too FUCKING awesome not to be kept to myself tongue

Is this going to be one batshit insane story? Definitely. A lawsuit nightmare? Oh yes. Hella expensive if it was this way? Our wallets shall cry tears of despair!

Will this become the most awesome Kingdom Hearts fanfiction if I, or anybody else, could manage to tell the story from the very beginning to the end? [awesome]

If any of you are wondering, this Stranger DOES has the free time to think all this. And he usually write his stories on the fly... The ones you just read was partially on the fly.

I've actually had this idea for a King Of Fighter's fanfic for a while now; I haven't quite worked out all the details, but I'll get out what I have anyway. (Oh, and just an FYI; if you don't anything about the Orochi Saga, you'll probably be lost as heck. Just saying.)

Anyway, the foundation of this fanfic is 'What if?'. In this case, 'What if, at the final battle of Ko F 97, Kyo, Iori and Chizuru — the three Scared Treasures — did not beat Orochi?' Or at least, not completely. The core reason behind this is Chizuru isn't able to seal Orochi as quickly or completely as before, as she became wounded in the earlier fight as the Heavenly Kings. She was still strong to use the Sealing spell to an extent, but not all the way through. Because of this, while Orochi was weakened, he was still able to use his last energies to transform himself into an unbelievable destructive wave of energy that wrecked havoc across the world, raining hell upon civilization and killing approximately 2/3rd's of the world's population. With that, the world had taken a grave blow, and was no longer the same as it had been before. Some countries were better off, such as the USA — though the USA was no longer one unified whole, but now 50 separate countries, all fending for themselves and warring amongst each other — but others, such as many third world countries, devolved into barbaric no-man's lands. Japan in particular was hurt most of all; being the homeland of the three Sacred Treasures, Orochi did his best to try to wipe it off the face of the globe. He didn't quite achieve this goal, but he did succeed in tearing down any and all notions of modern society or civilization in Japan. Entire cities were razed to the ground. Most of those in governmental power were among the dead. Most of those who managed to survive had already been living in smaller towns, in the countryside, away from most of the chaos.

However, with the wave also came messengers the 7 dead Orochinaga — Yashiro, Shermie, Chris, Geonitz, Vice, Mature, and Leona's real father were all brought back from the dead with the wave. The exception was Yamazaki, who was still alive. Vice and Mature went to find Iori, and Leona's father to find her, but the other four each sought to claim a part of the world for themselves...

As four our heroes, Kyo, Chizure and Iori had all gone missing since the blast. Ryo, Robert, and Yuri had also gone missing under mysterious circumstances, so Takuma, now one of our central protaganists, walks the world to try and find them. Terry travels the lands as well, with young Rock ever at his side. As for everyone else, their fates are unknown... (Or rather, I haven't gotten to that point yet.)

The main feel of this fic would sort of be a cross between Ko F and Hotuko no Ken, only with less exploding heads. (Keep in mind that I said 'less.' I didn't say there would be none.wink) Kyo, Iori, and Chizuru would all eventually be found, but perhaps not in the same state as you usually know them. Many of the key characters up to '97 would have some sort of rule, and everyone else would at least have a cameo. Characters from other SNK games (such as Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting,) that were never playable characters up to that point are fair game also, but the main focus would still be on actual Ko F characters. As the for plot, there's a lot of actual details to be worked out, but it's probably revolve around taking down the Four Heavenly Kingdoms, each of whom has carved out a piece of the world. They're not trying to revive Orochi, because they've lost their 'link', sort of. Orochi was not completely sealed, but he was still partly sealed. The Orochinagi still have their Orochi personalities and powers, but they no longer feel the 'will' of Orochi. However, they're still evil bastards, so they resort to what they know best; chaos and tyranny. (Except for Geonitz; his rule is quite a bit more orderly then the other 3, but still corrupt.) All in all though, I would intend for the main focus of the story to be the characters, and how they try to live in this new ruined world around them.

This is a Pokemon fic idea I've been kicking around for a long time:

This is a potential two-parter, focusing on the past and then the future from the events of PokemonGoldAndSilver.

Silver wants to learn about the events of "The Rocket War", a period of intense violence in Kanto about 10 years before the events of Gold and Silver that profoundly shaped characters that played a major role in life, such as Giovanni and Lance. The story is a series of vignettes told to him by various characters(similar to WorldWarZ) about how Giovanni and two other high-ranking Rocket leaders(both OCs) fractured the organization into three warring factions, plunging the entire Kanto region into bloodshed, and culminating in the creation of Mewtwo and the infiltration of Cipher.

The primary characters in the past part are younger versions of Lance, Lorelei, Bruno, Will, and Karen, as Lance begins a journey that takes him from an idealistic young dragon trainer hoping to end the conflict to the Champion and effective ruler of Kanto.

The future portion is told in a more normal storytelling style, and Silver teams up with Professor Oak in order to counter a new violent threat: Cipher declaring war on the Team Rocket remnants and targeting certain Olympus Mons in the region(specifically, Mewtwo and Deoxys), including two that Oak was personally involved with. Oak is given a bit more focus in this arc, as he was much more of a morally ambiguous character during and after The Rocket War, so his goal now is to redeem himself and ensure that the people and Pokemon he was involved with are safe. In doing so, Silver comes to terms with his parents.

Right now, it's just a cyberpunk crossover involving a few characters, but set in Policenauts.

I got the idea for this from seeing a picture an OC child of the Horned King and Maleficent (it's been a while, but I remember it being just some regular Mary Sue bullshit). Also, I'm a horrible person for thinking this up.

The fic (probably a one-shot) is about how the Horned King and Maleficent would raise whatever child they managed to spawn for whatever reason (let's assume it's a girl). However, instead of Draco in Leather Pants showing up or making their daughter the exception to the rule, these two would raise their child exactly like the horrible people they are.

The Horned King would have absolutely no love for her, though he would manipulate whatever love she felt for him in a heartbeat. He would plant just enough hints that he cared for her that she would still hold out hope and be loyal to him after he inevitably beats her for failing him. He would train her in the ways of evil magic, but never so much that she might actually be a threat, and would probably have her killed if she ever did reach that threshold.

Maleficent wouldn't be any better, though for different reasons. Being possibly the biggest narcissist in the history of Disney, Maleficent would truly love her child because said child came from her. She would love her child quite a bit (smotheringly so), but only as long as the child did everything perfectly. The slightest mistakes would be met with the most disproportionate punishments, and the ranting and screaming would add even more psychological damage.

In essence, a fic that shows what a child between two of Disneys most vile villains would really be; the most unfortunate henchman to ever be born in the Disney Universe.

Huh. Thinking of a really funny Poke Mon Self-Insert Fic including all of my friends. Remember that episode Ash got turned into a Pikachu? Yup. That's going to be me. Though, the pokedex would have to constantly translate for me, just like in the beginning of that one movie I cannot seem to remember the name for... Anyone want to help?

One idea I've had for a while, now that I'm trying to practice my screenwriting.

A Script Fic of a New Gods film adaptation, presented as an abandoned project from the 1970s that would have been directed by Richard Donner and produced by George Lucas. I'll say that it was conceived as 20th Century Fox's attempt to cash in on the success of Star Wars: A New Hope and Superman, and frame it as a kind of X Meets Y fusion of the two of them. I'd make it a stand-alone story without the rest of the DC Universe, though, and try to manage an Adaptation Distillation of Kirby's Fourth World mythos with a dose of realism (basically, try to pull off what Donner's original Superman did for the Superman mythos).

Ideally, I'd try to make it a trilogy of (unmade) films. Maybe call them New Gods: Episode I - Genesis, New Gods: Episode II - Miracles, and New Gods: Episode III - Apocalypse.

Genesis
Start off by introducing Orion as the Rebel Prince son of Highfather Izaya on New Genesis, who spends his days brawling in New Genesis' fighting pits, but secretly really wants to conquer his crushing anger problems (though he's helped in that regard by his best friend Lightray). At the beginning, after stopping him from killing a man in a duel, Highfather sends Orion away with Lightray and a select group of friends to investigate a series of attacks by Darkseid's army on an outlying world between New Genesis and Apokolips, believing that an important mission in the field is just what he needs to channel his anger and grow into his role as a prince.

Lots of spaceship battles and fights with Para-Demons, Orion and Lightray bond, Orion learns to be a man and steadily grows to hate Darkseid (who goes mostly unseen), and ultimately tries his hand at killing Darkseid after one of his friends dies in battle. The movie climaxes with a Luke, I Am Your Father reveal, as Highfather tells Orion that he and Darkseid switched their infant sons years ago to secure a peace accord between their worlds. Orion realizes that his Apokoliptian heritage is (partly) the reason for his struggles with his own anger and bloodlust, and Highfather tells Orion that he can't kill Darkseid because Darkseid is his father. Orion says "Screw that!" and vows to one day kill Darkseid and rescue Highfather's real son from Apokolips.

Miracles
Shift the action to Apokolips and introduce Scott Free (aka "Mr. Miracle") by following his escape from the planet's dungeons, introducing Desaad and Granny Goodness along the way—and giving us our first extended look at Darkseid's true sadism and cruelty. On his way out, Scott encounters his love interest Barda (a rebellious slave of Darkseid), and decides to rescue her as well.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the galaxy, Orion and his friends go rogue as Orion chooses to defy Highfather and bring Darkseid down (peace accord be damned). At some point, he and his friends are separated when they face impossible odds in a battle with the Para-Demons, but Orion is found and aided by Metron—who's, in my version, a rogue servant of Highfather trying to orchestrate Darkseid's downfall behind Highfather's back. He reveals that Highfather's real son is named "Scott Free", and that he's been a prisoner in Darkseid's dungeons since he was exchanged with Orion as an infant. He then clues Orion into Scott and Barda's location, and it becomes clear that one of his acts of sabotage made their escape possible.

Orion unites with Scott and Barda, and praises Scott for being the first person ever to truly defy Darkseid and get away clean ("Don't you see, Scott? You're...you're a miracle!"). The three of them realize that Darkseid is now hunting for Scott personally, knowing that his escape could inspire the Lowlies of Apokolips to rebel against him. Now that Highfather has banished both Orion and Scott from New Genesis (knowing that Scott could jeopardize the peace agreement with Apokolips if he returned home) the three are forced to take refuge on a strange uncharted planet that Metron told Orion about: a planet called "Earth".

Apocalypse
The peace accord between New Genesis and Apokolips completely falls apart as Orion and Scott both go rogue, and Darkseid goes full-on with his plans to conquer the universe, with world after world falling to his space fleet and his army of Para-Demons. It turns out that his true goal is to make it to Earth (believing that the human subconscious holds the key to discovering the Anti-Life Equation that can bend the sentient beings of the universe to his will), and that Metron actually sent Orion and company to Earth so that they could serve as the planet's last line of defense against the forces of Apokolips.

Meanwhile, Lightray returns to New Genesis to convince Highfather to break his people's code of isolationism and aid the rest of the universe in the fight against Darkseid, to which Highfather eventually (reluctantly) agrees.

We're introduced to Darkeid's son Kalibak, who has a Cain and Abel relationship with Orion, and wants to personally kill him to take his rightful place as Darkseid's heir.

Orion, Scott and Barda take human forms and attempt to hide incognito among the people of Earth (circa 1980) as they prepare for the arrival of Darkseid's forces. From a message left by Metron, they're eventually able to figure out that Metron was an Ancient Astronaut who orchestrated the birth of human civilization with the understanding that humans would eventually usurp the New Gods as the dominant civilization in the Universe, and that they would outlast the denizens of Apokolips.

The Final Battle happens. Orion broadcasts a message to the people of Earth to warn them of Darkseid's arrival, a massive space battle erupts between Darkseid and Highfather's forces, Darkseid Goes Mad From the Revelation after attempting to use his psychics to discover the Anti-Life Equation from the people of Earth (just as Metron had planned), Barda dukes it out with Granny Goodness, Scott dukes it out with Desaad, Orion dukes it out with Kalibak, and Orion defeats Darkseid singlehandedly as he goes berserk.

As the dust settles, Scott and Highfather reconcile, Orion takes his rightful place as his people's Prince, Scott and Barda become lovers and decide to wander the cosmos together, and the forces of Apokolips vow to rebuild.

Epilogue
It's revealed that Metron was actually away on a secret errand during the final act: while the battle above Earth was raging, he paid a visit to a planet called "Krypton" to supply a wise scientist named Jor-El with information about the people and society of Earth. After the credits roll, a single spaceship is seen being launched away from Krypton...

Some one write a story like this.

Nick Fury, James Bond, Indiana Jones and Duncan(From the Highlander series) All meet up to stop the Nazis and Hydra to release an Abomination of infinite horror upon the world in the depths of world war 2 on a rapidly dissolving Skull Island.

Just thought of this on the fly, just now. Is it any good?

I've been gestating an idea about a Cthulhutech/Mass Effect crossover. It just feels like it should be done.

Prologue: Humanity, for all its tenacity, is losing the war against both the Migou and the cults. Due to this, both the Migou and the cults have decided to focus on beating each other first and then move on to subjugating humans. Now, having received some much-needed breathing room, the NEG starts to really work on how to survive against whichever force happens to win. Salvation comes from the Eldritch Society, when one of their agents finds a veritable goldmine of ancient occult lore that Chrysalis corporation took from the Antarctic. Making off with copies of these texts, the Society manages to decipher a new rite; it is dubbed the Rite of Transcendence and it involves a human subject ascending to godlike levels of power by being infused with a portion of Drazet's essence. He is the Forgotten One who was suspected and now proven to have written the Ta'ge fragments that gave birth to the Tagers. The subjects essentially become pseudo-avatars of Drazet, gifted with power far beyond mortal comprehension, but unable to be symbiotically empowered like a true avatar. Five hundred of the finest, iron-willed individuals are recruited from within the Society's numbers to become subjects of what will come to be known as the Demigod Project. They were given a number of genetic enhancements and brutal training to prepare them for the daunting challenge of ascending from mere mortals to gods among men. When the rite is performed, only a hundred candidates survive. Nevertheless, the project was a success, and now humanity had an actual chance at fighting back. The first thing the Eldritch Society did was expose Chrysalis Corp. for what it really was. Before, they could only whittle away at the powerful and nigh-omnipresent corporation, but with the Demigods leading the charge, the game had changed. Undeniable evidence was presented to the NEG, and the OIS immediately began a massive purge, ruthlessly hunting down those with ties to Chrysalis Corp, aided with the enthusiastic help of the Society. Eventually, they prepared for a terrible battle against the Chairman, Nyarlathotep's avatar, but he had already vanished. None know what his plans are, but it is doubtless that Nyarlathotep has something in store for humanity. Meanwhile, the cults and the Migou had been savagely mauling each other, but neither managed to make any real gains. It was at this point that the NEG renewed their assault on their enemies. With the Demigods at the forefront, humanity inflicted devastating losses to both the cults and the Migou, neither of which had predicted that the primitive apes could muster such a vicious counterattack. The cults were systematically eradicated, and finally a force of thirty Demigods reached the Plateau of Leng, where Hastur's avatar resided. After a grueling battle, resulting in the loss of a dozen Demigods, Hastur is finally banished back from whence it came. In a last act of defiance, the avatar let out a psychic scream of rage that echoed all the way to the outer reaches of the solar system. All of humanity reeled in pain, but the Migou, being far more sensitive, were subsequently wiped out, their minds destroyed by the scream.

And so, on the year 2090, the Aeon War comes to an end.

So, that's the background. Humanity and the Nazzadi survive, advance, reverse engineer some tech left behind by the Migou, and eventually meet the Citadel races.

here's my idea for a fanfic (just kicking it around, don't have a lot of details figured out, but still):

On orders from Master Yen Sid, Sora and Riku start travelling to other worlds in the Realm of Light as ambassadors to gain the trust and alleigance of their rulers should anyone use the darkness to attack their world. The first world the two Keyblade masters visit is one neither of them have been to before. Sora, being the adventurous sort he is, dives in first, with Riku following shortly after...

... and they land right in the middle of Ponyville, transformed into small, colorful horses.

While trying to locate the leader with the help of the residents of this strange place (Sora makes friends with the pink pony right away), a massive invasion occurs of bug-like shapeshifting ponies, and Sora and Riku get roped into stopping the invasion while trying to complete their mission. Adventure ensues.

okay, some stuff i've decided on:

  • this takes place between KH3D and KH3 for Sora and Riku.
  • this takes place bewteen seasons 3 and 4 for the MLP cast.
  • Sora and Riku will be earth ponies and will channel their magic through their Keyblades, which they will weild in their mouths like in the Pride Lands.

what do you guys think?

I've always wanted to do a Steampunk Justice League story ever since I saw this set of custom figures on Sillof's website.

Basically, I'd do an Origins Episode of the League, set in an alternate version of Victorian England in the aftermath of a Martian invasion (modeled after the one in War of the Worlds), with a few strategic character changes.

  • Superman is C.J. Kent, a Kansan farmboy who started Walking the Earth and settled in London after his abolitionist parents were killed in the American Civil War, and works as a mechanic in a London newspaper's printing press. He first suited up as "The Superman" (as he was dubbed by budding philosopher Friedrich Nietzche) to fight the Martians, and now spends his time flitting around helping the oppressed people of Europe fight off monarchist regimes.
  • Lois Lane is Eloise Margaret Lane, a feisty Suffragette who writes for the newspaper under a male pen name.
  • Batman is B. Robert Wayne, a Gotham industrialist who spends his nights protecting the denizens of his city's slums from thieves and crooks, and bagged Jack The Ripper in a previous mission.
  • Robin is "Ragged Dick" Grayson, a feisty orphan who serves as Wayne's underground contact in the slums, and leads a group of young orphans who aid Batman à la the Baker Street Irregulars.
  • Wonder Woman is Lady Diana, the Isle of Themyscira's ambassador to Britain.
  • Green Lantern is H.M. Jordan, an eccentric inventor who owns his own airship company, and fashioned his power battery from the remains of a Martian tripod's energy weapon. He uses a specially built metal ring to channel the battery's glowing green energy through his hand, and wears welder's goggles 24/7 to protect his eyes from the light.
  • The Flash is Allen Jay Barrymore, Jordan's best friend and business partner who works as a test pilot for Ferris Airships. He developed super-fast speed and metabolism after ingesting an experimental gaseous compound that Jordan developed after experimenting with samples of the Martians' "Black Smoke" agent.
  • Martian Manhunter is John Jones, Consulting Detective, a Sherlock Holmes-esque English detective (right down to the drug use and the bizarre behavior) who gets pulled into the story when he tries to steal Jordan's power battery. It turns out that he's a shapeshifting Martian from a splinter tribe that's at war with the technology-obsessed faction that invaded Earth years before.
  • Lex Luthor is Sir Alexander Luthor, a London munitions businessman who was knighted by Queen Victoria for his services helping quell the Martian invasion. It turns out that he's secretly been stockpiling recovered Martian weapons since the end of the invasion, and that he's planning to use them to build his own private army of super-weapons to star World War I a few decades early.
