Huh? Why would they do that, the some of the animators are the same on both projects.

Because tribalism and boredom of course. People really just wanna start fandom wars for no reason at this point.

It's also kinda weird considering that several people from Hazbin and Helluva went on to work on Lackadaisy and Vivzie has stated she was happy some of her former people made the pilot.

Eh, I'll just tune it out as I normally do. More good animated products for me.

… Literally the only thing these shows have in common aside from some animators working on both is that they’re adult cartoons. And yet people choose to pick fights and pit them against each other.

Lackadaisy's Backerkit-funding has reached over 1,000,000$, which means we get full Season 1 with 5 episodes!

With 65 hours left, Lackadaisy's Backerkit-funding has reached over 1,500,000$, which means we get additional 3 mini-episodes!

Currently watching a livestream from the official Lackadaisy Youtube Channel counting down the final hours until the Backerkit closes. According to one of the cast, Neil Gaiman actually seen the pilot short.

Lackadaisy has made $2,000,000 on Backerkit, right before it closed, so now we can expect the Blu-Ray release. Congrats to the team, you all earned it!

Tracy and everyone else was having a blast last night when it reached 2 million dollars last night!

Well, Vivzie's donation for Lackadaisy apparently got rejected and talked about it on Twitter. And now both sides of the Helluva/Hazbin vs Lackadaisy war are livid.

I miss when these two were Friendly Fandoms.

Why was it rejected?

It wasn't said why I believe.

Ayy Lmao did a video about that and some other controversy. Basically, a Lackadaisy crew member named Zebirdbrain, or Ze for short, was found to have liked transphobic tweets. People who worked on Lackadaisy (Fable, Ashley, and Tracy herself) defended her, but she never explained what happened or apologized. Tracy also told all supported the allegations to fuck of, which came under more fire. Then, after the Lackadaisy accounts went on a blocking spree. Sam Haft accused Lackadaisy's staff of hating on Hazbin, which was seemingly proven, given that a screenshot of Ze alleging Viv only donated for clout and to get a producer credit was shown, and that the team rejected Vivzie's donation.

Despite Viv posting a tweet regarding her donations getting rejects. She fully supports the cast and crew that are working on Season 1 of a Lackadaisy Animated Series.

Hopefully this gets handled privately and professionally towards Lackadaisy and Spindlehorse and blows over in the future. Because most of the Lackadaisy Animation Crew are actually nice, but as the old saying goes "One bad apple can spoil the bunch." I even remember tuning in to various livestreams posted for Hunicast and Lackadaisy's Youtube channels where various crew members for Hazbin/Helluva and Lackadaisy were actually discussing and showing supports for each others works. Even sharing a few crew members from both works.

That's... certainly not a good look for the Lackadaisy crew.

I do have to say, this doesn't seem to be a case of one bad apple. I doubt Tracy and Fable would let whoever runs the Backerkit reject money, much less 5,000 dollars, without approval.

As a fan of all three works (Helluva, Hazbin, and Lackadaisy), I hope the current situation doesn't get overblown and handled privately. Because the Lackadaisy crew (sans for one) are super passionate on doing an indie animated series based on the webcomic. They might had gotten a bit too excited after the announcement of the backerkit for Season 1 was revealed weeks back and very exhausted (especially after last night's livestream hoping to hit 2 million dollars). Not to mention, Tracy recently lost one of her pet cats (who inspired one of the characters).

To be fair, the backerkit for Lackadaisy Season 1 was extremely busy all yesterday till 1:00 am. So busy that fans quickly took notice that their browsers (such as Firefox and Chrome) were crashing due to the page being flooded due to fans donating tons of money to reach its 2 million dollar goal every few minutes. Even the crew noticed the counter for donators and backers were notably laggy.

Yeah, it's definitely unfortunate what happened to Tracy's cat.

Though, for the donation, it was already made, and the traffic sounds like it came from to many people being on the website instead of simply the amount of money.

On the positive side, found Neil Gaiman's Tweet where he gives awareness on the pilot and Lackadaisy's Season 1 goal being reached. Feable even retweeted it.

So apparently Tracy made a statement on Discord going more into why she rescinded Viv’s donation and the whole controversy. I’ll leave you guys to form your own opinions, but to me this feels very bitter. Not a good look:

Sketches of Reuben "Ruby" Pepper for the mini-episode. Seems that'll be the first release. Ruby definitely looks like an interesting character.
