I'm drawing a comic in adobe photoshop, how high should I put the resolution?

I had it at 200, with the dimensions of a piece of printer paper, but was kind of pixeley, but then on deviantart it was unusually large when expanded so...I just don't know. It also took like fifty years to upload onto deviantart, and i imagine at higher resolutions it would only take longer >.> i don't mind waiting, but I'm also worried about memory and whatnot...

300 is sort of standard but most internet stuff can be as low as 60, since file size is a factor. A lot of people work at 300 dpi and then shrink it lower before they upload it to the web.

That said, I work pretty small. 100 dpi before shrinking to about a quarter the size. Haven't noticed any pixelization problems.

Like Roman said, 300 ppi is what you'll want it at especially for printing it. As for putting it on the internet, you'll want it at 72 ppi. If the image is small enough, you could 'Save for Web & Devices' in Photoshop. Doing that will automatically bring down the resolution and will let you adjust the file type as well as the quality. Well, you can change the quality for jpg files, anyway. It'll shrink down the file size which can help a lot if that's a problem.

There's no 'I' in 'threesome'.

I always scan stuff in at 300 dpi. (I used to scan it in at 600 some time ago, but I realized that it's a bit overkill. 300 will do just fine.)

Then I shrink down the result for publishing on the internet. For any given piece, I keep an un-flattened, un-resized PSD file in case I ever need to make changes or print it or something.
