Does anyone know a good horror freeware game?
I've already played Yume Nikki, and The White Chamber.
Kill all math nerds@Schitzo: oh, that was at Spooky Mask. Didn't notice your ninja.
It is still awesome and you should still watch it even if it may not meet your criteria.
"I can't imagine what Hell will have in store, but I know when I'm there, I won't wander anymore."@Schitzo: The movies have all been subbed, though. I've got a torrent I can link you.
TVTropes Nuzlocke Thread. - Arceus Help Us All.@ Myrmidon: Is IF acceptable?
survival of the tight-lippedSuperhero comic, available for free online viewing.
Any suggestions?
I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....I was reading Blackest Night online yesterday, but you'd have to go to 4chan to read it, and also the thread might be gone now.
Yay /co/

ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.No one has a recommendation that fits the first bullet point?
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Mine did?
survival of the tight-lippedSorry. >.< What an off day today.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.A couple of requests -
A strange percentage of my favorite works seem to involve characters doing bodily harm to their close friends and duplicates of themselves due to "Groundhog Day" Loops or other technology - Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni, The Prestige, Moon, Primer. Anything similar? I'd prefer to be able to access it for free legally.
Also, does anyone know of fantasy-related works with (a) multiverses, that (b) involve well-developed non-magical alternate laws of physics and (c) are not Myst or Amber?
The Revolution Will Not Be Tropeable...I'm going to take that as a no. :(
Okay, new question then - where might I find Eldritch Abominations that work well with humanity? Eternal Darkness is the only place that comes to mind.
The Revolution Will Not Be Tropeable^^ I don't know about the second clause, but Diana Wynne Jones' The Homeward Bounders is about multiverses.
Biophilic bookworm by day, gentleman adventurer by night.DWJ has a lot of multiversing going on in her stuff. Actually, I can't immediately call to mind a single work of hers which doesn't exist in a multiversal reality. But they're all magical, I'm pretty sure...
survival of the tight-lippedWell, Hexwood uses Sufficiently Advanced Technology instead, but... same difference, really.
I've taken notes on quite a lot of multiverses * but the above two seem to be fairly unique in involving worlds that run on alternate sciences.

The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableAh yes, His Dark Materials. I'm surprised that didn't come to mind at all when I read your wanted list.
The Game by Diana Wynne Jones doesn't have multiple universes, unless you count wherever the gods com from. I don't remember it that well, though.
Biophilic bookworm by day, gentleman adventurer by night.Looking for something similar to Scott Pilgrim in either it's total insanity or it's subject matter.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.I'm looking for something similar to Bret Easton Ellis' Lunar Park. I'm more than a bit turned off by American Psycho (I'm guessing it is as disturbing as it's said to be, and not just overhyped) and none of his other work really sounds appealing. I'm looking for a psychological thriller or something, I guess.
@Noaqiyeum: For loops, have you seen Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind? (You probably have.)

She's playing with fire! He's not ready for Nibbly Pig!No, actually, I haven't yet. Does that have loops? I'd gotten the impression that it was more Memento-like...
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableOoh, speaking of loops and doing things to your selves/friends — have you read Ted Chiang's short story "The Merchant and the Alchemist's Gate"?
survival of the tight-lippedI'm looking for something like Aesop's fables. Oh, and something like The Megas or The Protomen for Final Fantasy.
The Kalila and Dimna or Uncle Remus could work in place of Aesops Fables.
...No I have not.
And I love Ted Chiang, so if he has something to say on the matter, awesome. O_O
The Revolution Will Not Be Tropeable
Will stop putting that off. I've put off End Of Evangelion badly enough.
Thanks Lucky.
