"We can't trust anyone now."
"You can trust me."
"Of course, master."

Heh. Last comic was great with the reminder that this Anakin is quite amoral, but this one had a lovely little rant. "I think Anton Chekhov just committed suicide with his gun" indeed :p

Hee! If it wouldn't wake up some friends I would be laughing outrageously at the last three panels.

DMM is really good at the use of beat panels.

Every so often this comic reminds me of just how good Anne is at this stuff.

This is one of those times. I'm impressed.

Noo!

This strip really made me sad. I hope Sally will eventually return as some other character, she was so creative and playful in the earlier campaign.

Maybe she comes back as another character later on.

I bet Chewbacca.

I wondered when she would give up Jar Jar, seeing he has only a very small part in Episode II (2 or 3 more scenes after this one) and is practically non existant in Episode III.

Now if you excuse me, Starfleet is about to award the Christopher Pike Medal to my dick.SF Debris

They made a Tear Jerker out of Jar Jar Binks going away. My hat goes off to the Comic Irregulars.

My bet is on Chewbacca being a munchkin character.

But since R2 already fills that role...

Hmm, maybe she'll be 3-CPO

Is the character playing R2 going to remain R2 for the entire thing? I doubt it, at least in part because R2 did lot less in the OT than the NT.

Maybe R 2 D 2'll become an NPC too during the original trilogy, then.

Which would mean the Munchkin player could go on to be the Wookie.

I mean come on. Laser crossbow, a lot of racial advantages and once again, he can't speak.

No, even better - he'll have convinced one of the other saps players to have taken a feature to understand him. That way he gets the full bonus from the speech problem but can still communicate with the group IC.

Then they'll find out Threepio's involved and Han's player really didn't need to spend that feat on bonus languages after all.

Ep 252

It's nice to see that Sally's taste in aliens hasn't changed too much.

Considering how long this scene lasts in the movie (eg not very) I doubt she'll be able to stick to it.

Maybe there'll be a Running Gag of Sally playing all the nonhuman NPCs one at a time, or something.

Also, the witch is a munchkin!

Sally playing the Caminoans would be pretty cool.

And man, the cast page is hilarious.

[Annie] is dedicated to playing her character as a real, complex talking dog with motivations inspired by a well-considered backstory.

The Kaminoans are one of my favorite things in Star Wars! That and the spiffy CGI giant-flower planet (where that one alien jedi got gunned down :( ) So I'm sure Sally would do them justice.

And also: "Pete designed a character to maximise all the skills he thought would come in most useful in a fantasy game, at the cost of being an emotionless axe-wielding sociopath made of metal." That is a fantastic way to describe the tin man. XD

That's because there aren't any. It's a joke site, just like the Wands and Warts was (although I think that was for April Fools—what's the occasion here?). It's got exactly one real strip, a mocked-up cast page, a slightly-modified FAQ, and an "archive" page that consists of every good title they could think of but no actual strips.

I love this one. "Guess that witch was min-maxed out to wazoo too". Silly DM, if you want your NP Cs to be overly powerful you just make them higher level. And the weakness definitely should've been a Schrödinger's Gun when they stumbled onto it early.

Of course Sally came up with Kamino. You know, Sally probably won't be around for the original trilogy, because things aren't quite as crazy there. Or maybe she'll just have grown up a bit more and the DM will recruit her into designing a few locations, where she'll come up with stuff like Cloud City and Jabba the Hutt (and *shudder* the Sarlacc).

Suddenly, I'm looking forward to the players getting into an argument over spotting gravitic disturbances on a static star map.
