Reportedly, several major things were planned for the series, but never happened.

- Instead of Gareth/Kaden competing on the show, they were actually gonna have another character of there's named Monsoon compete, who likely would have filled a similar role as the first boot due to having a similar personality but being just a bit hammier. However, both writers decided to make the decision to swap him out as they simply found it to be too much of a pain writing him since his character relied so heavily on innuendo and cursing.
- Alia and Gareth were planned to be a couple in earlier versions, along with Quincy and Violet.
- Gein was never even planned to exist in earlier versions.
- The originally planned finalists of the series were Cynthia and Doc, who conveniently acted as the Big Bad Duumvirate of the season as a whole.
