Toad is a simple minded fellow who often annoys his roommate Yoshi. Unfortunately for him, Yoshi is quite fond of Disproportionate Retribution.
Tropes:
- Adaptational Villainy: Yoshi is a cruel sadist who tortures Toad for petty slights.
- BFS: A normal kitchen knife appears as one in Yoshi's hands.
- Canon Foreigner: Panda is a normal toy not connected to the Mario games.
- Disproportionate Retribution:
- In the first video after Toad eats one of Yoshi's apples, Yoshi stuffs Toad in a giant French horn and plays it, puts him in a blender, attacks him with a giant knife, and shoves him in household appliances.
- In second video Toad ruins Yoshi and Panda's Wii Bowling game. In response they use him as a living tetherball, hit him with a car, force him to watch "Baby" by Justin Bieber, press him up against a cactus, cut him with a saw, blind him with a flashlight, and lead him into a minefield.
- Faux Horrific: Justin Bieber's Baby music video is portrayed as just as cruel as the various tortures used on Toad, who responds by screaming and banging his head.
- Hope Spot: Yoshi and Panda finally let Toad free after torturing him, only his escape is over a minefield.
- Unexplained Recovery: Toad is always good as new after Yoshi and Panda's cruel treatment. Yoshi expresses shock that he is still alive.
