Unchained takes place in one of the canon alternate universes seen in SBR
Since Steel Ball Run dealt with The Multiverse quite a bit, fans have been quick to speculate that the Unchained story takes place in one of these.- This theory of course hinges on whether or not the Holy Corpse pops up - in SBR it was explained that the Corpse only existed in one universe; if it exists in the Unchained reality, it means it can’t be a parallel world to the canon story.
Nick got a different corpse part then the Left Arm
Like his brother, Nick obtained his stand in the Arizona Desert/Monument Valley. If this was a Devil's Palm like in canon, it's possible that he received a different corpse part instead of the Left Arm, since Guardian of the Left Arm (Tusk) hasn’t appeared to him.- Its also possible that he did get the Left Arm, and that the Guardian/"Tusk" hasn’t appeared to him yet.
- If this is the case, "Tusk" might appear to Nick in the story's equivalent of the Wired fight.
Diego from Another World will live.
The Chain is an ACT stand.
The Fan Submitted racers from Chapter 2 will appear again later and have stands.
Potential names for each.- Badfinger - No Dice
- Macklemore - Can't Hold Us
- Dean 'O Reilly - Won't Get Fooled Again
Hot Pants will become Nicholas' love interest.
Sandman and Soundman will be different characters
- In reference to the popular theory. By extension, the story will reveal the stand of the real Sandman.
Diego will become a Jobro.
