Cinder, both before and after her plans go up in smoke one too many times.
"NOOOO! YOU VILE SCUM! YOU LIE!! YOU ARE ALL CORRUPTED! CHAOS HAS PLANTED ITS SEED IN YOUR MINDS! YOU ARE ALL HERETICS! HEEEEREEETIIICS!!!"
Inquisitor Fyodor (after finding out about The God-Emperor of Mankind's ability to speak again), If the Emperor Had a Text-to-Speech Device

Work Subpages:

  • DEATH BATTLE!:
  • Dreamscape: When Melinda finds out she is going to be sealed away within Keedran, she panics.
Melinda: No! No! I can not lose! I WILL escape! I WILL bring my curses upon the universe! I WILL not lose to the likes of YOU!
Melissa: You have no one but yourself to blame, Melinda. First you let yourself get restrained by us, then in an attempt to get the upper-hand, you fused with the Possessor Ghost without considering the weaknesses that would bring. You underestimated us, and take it from me, pride cometh before the fall.
Melinda: I will live on forever! You will never truly be rid of me! Mark my words, Melissa, you have NOT seen the last of MEEEEEEEEE!
  • DSBT InsaniT: Played for Laughs. Psycho Man becomes increasingly more frustrated as more and more of the cast refuse to take him and his Mooks seriously. Eventually, he just goes Screw This, I'm Out of Here!.
  • In If the Emperor Had a Text-to-Speech Device, Karamazov breaks down once Custodes surround him, screaming that he's the only one left pure, that everyone else is a heretic and that the text-to-speech device is a lie. He gets over it quickly enough, but loses it ten times as hard when he finds out he's exiled to the Warp with an addled Kaldor Draigo, with what could only be subtitled as [Inquisitorial Angry].
  • Nomad of Nowhere: The Undertaker goes through this, after the normally peaceful Nomad finally has enough of the Undertaker's abuse and animates the objects around his house to attack him, while The Undertaker can only crawl into a fetal position and scream that he doesn't want to die, before the Nomad manages to stop himself. When the Nomad leaves his house, after tying him up in the room with the formerly animated objects, he screams not to be left alone with them.
  • This Gmod video has a non-verbal example where Painis Cupcake imitation Ass Pancakes becomes visibly unhinged over his inability to bonk Derpy Sonic's skull.
  • Episode 3 of Pokémon Evolutions begins with Lysandre taking on Calem, declaring that he will take back Xerneas for the Ultimate Weapon, before Mega Evolving his Gyarados...which results in it being taken down in one hit by a super effective Moonblast by Xerneas. Lysandre doesn't take this loss well, screaming at the top of his lungs, yanking off his Flare visor and throwing it down in a fit of frustration.
  • Red vs. Blue:
    • C.T. or rather, her Insurrectionist lover, who took her identity after she died, goes from calm and collected secret keeper, to a screaming maniac when Tucker shows up to rescue Sarge, Grif and Caboose. Keep in mind that he kept his cool while facing down both Tex and Carolina.
    • In the penultimate episode of Season 12, Felix has been doing what he usually does in his fight against Tucker: Evil Gloating with the usual sociopathic cheer to his demeanor, yammering on in ways that describe his & his partner's plans (which the heroes already know at this point). Ever since his Evil All Along reveal mid-season, he's been cocky and insulting and horribly cruel and just won't shut up. But then, Tucker reveals that Church is inside his armor, using Tucker's helmet-cam to record the entire spiel, and then he sends it to play at the planet Chorus' capital, exposing Felix & Locus' plot to the Federal Army and New Republic that they've been manipulating for so long, bringing the war - which F & L have spent years carefully orchestrating - to a screeching halt. Upon realizing this, he goes into complete Sarcasm Failure and Stunned Silence for the first time, and only finds his voice to threaten Tucker.
      Felix: "You... You're DEAD!!"
      • He goes very, very close to this when he retrieves the key from General Doyle… only to realise that Doyle is the only one who can activate it. When Sharkface admits to not being able to inform him of this Felix immediately threatens to kill him, almost like a child throwing a tantrum.
      • He suffers a more complete and final breakdown during the Season 13 finale. His last battle with the Reds and Blues is just one last temper tantrum before the end, and he is completely unable to formulate his usual quips, instead resorting to childish insults, and it only gets worse as the Reds and Blues hand him his ass on a platter. And when Locus makes it clear that he's had a Heel–Face Turn and will not be bailing Felix out this time, Felix breaks completely and is reduced to pathetically begging Locus to return to him. It doesn't work, and he's quickly killed off with a grenade.
    • From the same episode, the partner in question goes through a much more subtle one. Locus spends his battle against Washington cloaked and taking opportunistic shots at him. But then Washington gives a speech that deconstructs Locus' Consummate Professional image, culminating in him calling Locus a coward. This pisses off Locus enough that he abandons tactics and goes for a straightforward beatdown of Washington. When the scene cuts to him again, he's seen hesitant for the first time in the series, only telling his mooks to follow protocol.
  • RWBY:
    • When Ruby Rose boards the Atlesian cruiser that Roman Torchwick hijacked, he gets very frustrated as this is the third time she's meddled in his fun, but he doesn't go into full breakdown until she's able to take Neo out of the picture and she vows to win the day. He quickly resorts to beating her with his cane, ranting and raving about how her Heroic Spirit doesn't have a place in this cold and unfeeling world, that if she's going to play the part of the hero, then she should just roll over and die already and that he'll keep on going by lying, cheating, stealing and surviving. He's then promptly eaten by a Griffin Grimm.
    • In Volume 4, the Ax-Crazy Tyrian is injured in battle by Ruby; screaming in agony and angrily calling her a bitch, he retreats, repetatively muttering to himself that Salem will forgive him for failing in his mission to capture Ruby. When Salem, whom Tyrian worships as a goddess, quietly tells him that he has disappointed her, he is reduced to a sobbing wreck. When his despair attracts the attention of a Beowulf, he bats it away on reflex before pouncing on it. He begins slashing the Beowulf with increasingly manic strikes until his sobs turn to unhinged laughter. Cinder, who watched the destruction of Beacon and the deaths of countless citizens and students with undisguised glee, watches Tyrian's descent into madness in open-mouthed horror.
    • Ilia, a member of the White Fang and an Evil Former Friend of Blake Belladonna, starts to break down when Blake confronts her with the choices she has made, persistently maintaining Ilia is a good person deep down, and begging her to think of what her deceased parents would think if they could see her now. The mention of her parents reduces her to tears, but their fight is interrupted by the fight of Blake's father, Ghira, spilling across into theirs, leaving her in danger of being crushed by a balcony that collapses in flames. Ghira almost sacrifices himself to save Ilia, paralyses her until the fight ends, where she breaks down into helpless sobs. After that, she throws herself whole-heartedly into Blake's cause and switches sides.
    • The two Menagerie White Fang representatives, Corsac and Fennec Albain, are quiet, soft-spoken manipulators. They smile easily to people's faces while plotting their downfall from the shadows. Against their better judgement, they obediently carry out Adam's instructions to assassinate Blake's family. However, as they originally feared, the confrontation turns sour: when Fennec is killed by a balcony that collapses in flames, Corsac erupts as he demands to know if the Belladonnas have any idea what they've just done. His attempt to attack is rebuffed and he seems utterly defeated when the police chief demands to know if his brother's death was worth it before ordering his men to take Corsac away.
    • In the Volume 5 episode "Haven's Fate", Emerald is reduced to a sobbing mess that causes her to reach beyond the limits of her powers to inflict a mass illusion on everyone in the same room as her. Upon seeing Yang return with the Relic with no sign of Cinder, Emerald collapses in tears at the thought of Cinder being gone, ignoring the approach of the Mistral police force. When pressed by Mercury to escape, Emerald clutches her head and screams as she inflicts a mass illusion on the protagonists. Terrified by the spectacle they witness, the protagonists are utterly distracted, allowing the villains to escape. However, Emerald is rendered comatose by the extreme nature of her power use.
    • Before this, in "The More The Merrier", Cinder Fall is so outraged by what she sees as a kid getting a lucky grazing hit on her mask that she retaliates by skewering Weiss through the back with a spear. What makes this Kick the Dog moment especially cruel is that Weiss is left on her knees, gasping in pain and horror, grasping at the spear jutting out of her torso in a twisted repeat of how Pyrrha died. Smugly satisfied, Cinder leaves with Raven and Vernal to get the Relic and then when she kills Vernal to take the Relic and her power, she freaks out when she realises that Vernal was never the Spring Maiden and is promptly defeated by Raven, the real one.
    • Adam Taurus has an extensive one over the course of Volume 6, starting at the end of Volume 5. With Blake getting the best of him at Haven, turning much of the Faunus against him, Adam attempts a massive suicide bombing to take out his followers and enemies alike, snapping at one of his men for calling him out. With the White Fang turning against him and his plans foiled, Adam flees. When the rest of the White Fang reject and belittle him, Adam openly massacres them in a throne room, destroying the throne itself at the mere thought of Blake. Throughout Volume 6, Adam relentlessly stalks Blake across the continent, becoming more deranged in their next confrontation, especially when Yang joins the fight, no longer afraid of Adam. When it becomes clear that Adam was never gonna stop trying to kill them, Blake and Yang kill him in self defense.
    • In "As Above, So Below" Jacques Schnee's attitude completely tanks once his daughter Weiss arrives with evidence that he allied himself with Watts to win the election to Atlas' council, trying and failing to escape and being hauled away by the police while complaining about their "rough treatment".
    • In "Rude, Red, and Royal" after Team RWBY beats his pawns, the Red Prince loses his temper, flips the game table over and tries beheading them for their victory. The Curious Cat tells him to stand down, which prompts the tearful prince to exile the girls from his acre.
    • In the Volume 9 finale, "Of Solitude and Self", after Ruby returns to herself and joins the rest of Team RWBY in kicking the Curious Cat's ass, the Curious Cat devolves into mad ranting, just before they try to attack Team RWBY one last time, only to get ripped apart by Neo's Jabberwalkers.
Curious Cat: (struggling to get up) You’re broken! You break everything you touch! I call Humans… weak! Confused! Incomplete!
      Weiss: No, you’re wrong.
Yang: [Ruby]’s never been any of those things.
Blake: That’s why we follow her.
