Tropers / Rambling Ally

Go To

A teenage computer nerd from Munster,Ireland. Very odd and rambles ALOT. Currently trying to create a large storyline, unfortunetly is Brilliant, but Lazy and is bombarded by school days, sleep and Mom constantly making her clean things

Her story line is basically about a corresponding world with our own world. The world itself is actually not a Another Dimention but is meshed with real life. Expect Loads And Loads Of Characters and many Animal Motifs and FunnyAnimals.

The story sets around various people living or (often accidently) going into Maeve. The characters only meet in a The Finale.

Tropes associated with what I like:

  • Based on a Dream: Yep. The idea of the person's subconscious brain making something awesome gives me the case of ethier the fuzzies or horrible realisation.
  • Bizarchitecture: Me and my sis Rachel always loved making strange buildings out of legos and other things. My dreams have a habit of making these for me.
  • Cartoons: I LOVE cartoons ever since I could look at a tv screen. Sadly I was born in November 1996 so I missed alot of the nineties growing up. If it wasn't for my sister Jenny (Born Spring 1993) I would have never fell in love with shows like Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs and of course most disney films.
  • Kittens and puppies and of course penguins: Cause it is. Except if it's for a horror scene, then its really sad.
  • Horror: I am a lover of the genre, along with my love of cartoons.
    • Fridge Horror: I know this trope can be more frightening because you really have to think about it. I find it a pretty good trope to use in a subtle story.
    • Gothic Horror: I always found gothic horror to be more elegant and classy rather than frightening. Gothic horror most likely came from France,Italy, England or maybe Romania as gothic horror was all about large houses and fancy people. In the Eighties, Nineties and most of the Zero's, gothic horror was shunned as 'too common', now in the 10's video games and new horror writers have been able to use the same tropes but use them very differently from what Hollywood did.
    • Lovecraftian Horror: I like this guy. He's possibly insane and most of his stories get used over and over again in modern day works as 'original' despite the fact that he wasn't popular in life. My favorite story was "Facts Concerning the Late Sir Arthur Jermyn and His Family".
  • Romance: Strangely - despite my brain creates stuff that have brought many a class mate to vomiting, I'm also a hopeless romantic. Although I prefer to be a Shipper on Deck instead of having my own romance ( I'm Asexual with hints of being a homo-romantic in a place where gay is the biggest insult and asexuality is seen as having no emotion).

Tropes associated with what I HATE:

  • Bratty Teenage Daughter: Me and my sisters were never saints but we never flew into petty rages (except me although when my eldest sister turned thirteen I was only about eight). Seriously, my school is FILLED with these types of girls. I wish to give medals to their folks for putting up with them. Some are Too Dumb to Live crossed with Insane Troll Logic.
    • One girl thought that females were scientificity unable to fart and thought any girl who did was a disgusting mutant. Same girl also thought Asexuality = no emotion and that no emotion = robot.
    • Almost all the girls in my year seem to always bitch about boys who are ''take things slow'' (these girls are only 13 to 16 by the way the legal age in Ireland is 17) This leds to ALOT of Teen Pregnancy in my area, often with the fathers never mentioned and the girls getting bored of the baby.
      • Although there are very nice girls who have babies they raise properly, I know, I've met a few in my sister's (Jen's) old school year.
    • My cousin Vicky is possibly the biggest offender of this trope. 16 with two siblings, one nine the other three, she always complains on how she never goes out with friends, that her siblings are hogging all the nice stuff (imposible because of a pink phone and a large sack of clothes). My Aunt Siophan and the three cousins had to stay a few days at our house as they had just moved back to Ireland from England (also we needed someone to look after the house while we were on holiday)...oh gods the horror.
      • My aunt was awesome, if she got into an arguement with any daughter, she'd win. But the cousins were miniture hell. Youngest Sidney was very curious and didn't know the concept of Don't touch that - it breaks easily. - We came home from our holiday to find one of my sister's china fairy doll broken and crayons on the tv screen.
      • The middle child Amy was very loud and annoying, I was the only person able to keep her calm and naturally I had to look after her a few times - reasons being that because I was so mellow towards the chaos (actually I was ready to rip the eldest cousin's head off but I was to polite) that it almost rubbed off on her. I was able to coax her into going to sleep and because we like the same movies, my aunt almost praised me for keeping her companied before they had to go to a hotel for a few days. Needless to say middle cousin Amy was a handful but I could take it.
      • OH GODS ELDEST COUSIN VICKY. A few examples: 1 As kids she blamed me for alot of bad things and bragged about things I knew was bullshit (once even told me a friend of her's had died - i didn't buy it because she kept changeing the details - turned out she was lying).
      • Was/Is a Karma Houdini and a hypocrite, such as when she was over at the house and was sharing the couch with my middle sister Ray, she talked all night to her friend on Skype - the next day the three went to the cinema and middle sister Ray wanted to bring her best friend Kate with them but cousin Vicky had a tantrum how it whould be insulting her because all of her friends were over in England (despite the skype chats she had and the fact Kate was a friend of the family). On the same day she didn't want any food except plain chips/fries and pushed them away for being cut to big (it was a fifties themed resturant by the way).
      • Later the SAME DAY I asked her to keep down the volume because I was trying to relax (her skype chat robbed me of a night's sleep, giving me a migrane) her reaction was to YELL THE FUCK AT ME! Seriously I was simply trying to recollect energy for the day and she went temper tantrum on me. She raved about how she would leave my crappy house and country and that I was being a very bad host. My Aunt's reaction my quite surprising: Well there's the door. No money, no food, no passport and no sense. Cousin then shuted up.
      • Also whwn we got back she apparently she broke one of our laptops by going into a site that triggered a viris. Also she put Justin Bieber songs in our youtube playlists.
  • Karma Houdini: This is my Berserk Button. I like the idea of a character who can dodge trouble by his wits alone, but characters who CONSTANTLY do this get on my nerves. Examples:
    • DW from Arthur always rubbed me the wrong way, the episode where she is punched by the main character was the greatest moment in the show's history despite the episode trying to make it look like a negative action.
    • Jerry the mouse from Tom and Jerry. Now obviously Tom does provoke Jerry in most episodes but Jerry's Jerkass shines in episodes where he is the one provoking Tom. It was always a delight to seeing the episodes where Tom wins. In the famous "The Million Dollar Cat" episode had the BEST revenge Ive ever seen. Let your luxurious life be horribly abused and become close to murder because your not allowed to even touch your Jerkass rival? Or lose all your money, bounce between abusive owners, go back to being mauled by a bull terrier, insulted by local cats, get your heart broken over and over by females and have your good deeds go unnoticed so you can get revenge on your rival? Tom says it best:
    • Tweety Bird from the Sylvester Cat And Tweety Bird cartoons. Dear Gods this guy is worse than Jerry. Atleast Jerry often had a good reason to fight his rival. Sylvester is trying to eat/kill Tweety but the way Tweety gets away with sadistic actions and giving mocking insults to someone he barely even knows. What does Granny see in the bird!? Unlike Tom (whitch is kinda sad), Sylvester never gets his revenge.
    • Road Runner from the Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner cartoons & Little Beeper from Tiny Toons. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE these characters, but sometimes they get away with too much. I put them together because they have the same style. Run from coyote. Have Coyotes traps fail and he hurts himself. Throw in some Jerkass moments to egg him on. Rinse and Repeat. Although Beeper is more of a Karma Houdini because he has a nasty habit of RUNNING OVER CALAMITY COYOTE WITH A FREAKIN' TRUCK. There was also the Piece of Mind episode where Beeper makes Calamity fall off the side of a sky scraper, this causes Calamity to have a near-death experiance and have a few flashbacks: showing that him and Beeper were given by the Delivery Storks...to the same house. In cartoon logic doesn't that make them brothers?
