Go To

Sociopath examples from Web Animation shows.

  • Arby 'n' the Chief has Adam McIntyre and Tyler King. Adam is a Bratty Half-Pint taken to the extreme and the Token Evil Teammate of Chaos Theosis who revels in verbally abusing his mother and others online, whilst Tyler is presented as a low-functioning psychopath with a Hair-Trigger Temper barely reigned in by his best friend Eugene, serving as The Dragon for his clan and his personal attack dog. When Eugene bites the dust, Tyler goes off the deep end and goes after Arbiter and Chief with a chainsaw.
  • Caillou The Grownup: Caillou is extremely self-centered, has no regard for the feelings of others, refuses to admit when he's done something wrong, and neglects planning for the future in favor of pursuing immediate gratification.
  • A Day With Bowser Jr: Ludwig is the perfect example of this, having no problems with killing his own brother, and even calling his punishment for doing so "unjust."
  • Helluva Boss: In "Exes and Oohs", Moxxie's father Crimson is a mob boss who at first appears to be a gentleman and a gracious if forceful host, until it's revealed that he's physically, verbally and emotionally abusive to Moxxie, and he murdered his wife (Moxxie's mother) for crossing him when her morally-lighter parenting methods clashed with his own desire to mould Moxxie into a ruthless gangster like himself. Disinterested in his son's wants or sexuality, Crimson re-establishes contact with an adult Moxxie because he wants to force Moxxie into a marriage to an ex who Moxxie absolutely doesn't want anymore, for the sake of wealth; and he's clearly willing to have his son, his son's loved ones, and anyone else who crosses him killed.
  • Llamas with Hats: Carl is a self-proclaimed "dangerous psychopath with a long history of violence" and, in Paul's words, "all [he does] is kill people." Subverted in the final episode, which shows that he genuinely loved Paul and valued their friendship, and when he found out he had killed Paul by accident, he felt so guilty that he jumped off a bridge and killed himself.
  • Prima from the musical Of Weasels And Chickens. She sings songs about killing chickens ("Off to the Henhouse") and her philosophy of "Self-Preservation". She also often manipulates the protagonist, Marcus, to her advantage.
  • Red vs. Blue:
    • Agent Wyoming is willing to kill anyone without remorse, even when the people he's trying to kill are his own former teammates.
    • Agent South Dakota is extremely sadistic and arrogant, caring about nobody but herself, and is even willing to let her own brother get killed for her own benefit.
    • Despite his status as the Only Sane Man of Project Freelancer, the Counselor is still a high-functioning example of this. He's completely indifferent to being given the order to flood the entire state of Florida, and when things begin to look bad for the space pirates on Chorus, his first reaction is to order the Tartarus to leave the planet, showing no remorse for the soldiers he's abandoning.
    • The two major villains of The Chorus Trilogy are this:
      • Felix is an almost textbook example. Even before revealing himself to have been Evil All Along, he makes it clear that he doesn't care about his allies, and acknowledges that others usually do. After the reveal, it turns out Felix is completely okay with slaughtering an entire colony's population for a paycheck. He's also a checklist of sociopathic traits. He takes the time to toy with his prey before finishing them by explaining what was really going on. He's very good at feigning emotions and motives. Everything he does is in line with what will benefit him, even allying with someone he hates. He appears to lack regard for human suffering, flippantly saying he'd nuke the planet from orbit as if it was deciding to buy pizza, and says how if the inhabitants killed each other, "well... that's just a tragedy" as if it's a joke. In addition, he blatantly admits and displays that he does not care for the lives of others.
      • As should be expected from an Omnicidal Maniac, Malcolm Hargrove is this, given he's willing to wipe out an entire planet's population in order to profit off of it.
    • After the reveal that he's working with Chrovos, Genkins shows that he's really a smug bastard who willing to kill as many people as possible in pursuit of power.
  • RWBY:
    • Cinder Fall is remorseless in pursuit of her goals, murdering without hesitation, massacring a city with sadistic pleasure and smiling when ordering Mercury to record it. When diplomacy fails, she slaughters Faunus to obtain Adam's cooperation by force. She desires power, strength and to be feared by all, believing the best way to show her superiority is by dominating and hurting others; this includes seeking revenge against Ruby for maiming her and trying to kill Weiss just to spite Jaune for almost injuring her in battle. She has no compassion or emotional attachment for others, something Mercury has tried to warn the emotionally-invested Emerald about.
    • Jacques Schnee puts his needs and desires above everyone else's, cares about no one but himself, and is superficially charming enough to have convinced Nicholas Schnee to let him take control of the Schnee Dust Company and maintain a good public image in spite of his abusive business practices. This all points to him being a high-functioning sociopath. In Volume 7, he takes Watts's advice during the council election to shut down all non-essential SDC operations, and promises the workers to restore their jobs should they vote him into the council. It incites riots across Mantle, but the reason why Jacques wants the council seat in the first place is so that he can address Ironwood's decisions, which are affecting his company's profit margins.
    • Adam Taurus is introduced as someone who is willing to bomb humans even when he doesn't need to. He also doesn't care about the huge loss of Faunus lives in pursuit of Salem's plans if it helps him obtain his goal. He has no interest in Faunus-Human equality, believing in Faunus superiority and seeking instead the enslavement of all humanity; if that means invading cities and tearing down symbols of humanity's power, he'll even kill the White Fang leader, his former mentor, to achieve it. His idea of love is to try forcing Blake to take the blame for his own violence against her, then hunting her across entire continents, maiming her friends and attempting to murder her parents just for leaving him.
    • Although Arthur Watts listens to Salem, he is prideful, holds himself in high esteem and openly disdains his allies. He will manipulate, maim, frame and enable the murder of anyone to achieve his goals, and is particularly skilled at creating chaos through his aptitude for programming, security and engineering. He shows no remorse for the carnage and destruction he helps bring to Mantle and delights in hacking the heating grid to freeze Mantle's citizens to death. Even when he's arrested and imprisoned, he tells Ironwood he hopes that the general will sacrifice everything to fight Salem; even though it could mean the destruction of the entire kingdom, his reaction to the arrival of Salem is to smirk with pleasure.
  • Supermarioglitchy4's Super Mario 64 Bloopers:
    • Francis who steals Axol's Inkweaver so he could create a harem of waifus all for his perverted need for stimulation. He saw nothing wrong with mass kidnapping and draining thousands of Inklings for his ambitions, and reacts to his murder of Desti with sadistic amusement.
    • SMG3 is the Arch-Enemy of SMG4 who is obsessed with ruining his life and/or destroying him. He is an intelligent schemer and manipulator as he was able to convince Mario to work for him by reminding him of Greg's death at Susan's hands. Once he and his team acquired the YouTube Remote, SMG3 aims on erasing SMG4 from existence and likely everything else as well. Unlike most examples of a sociopath, SMG3 does try to redeem himself at least twice, but his immense hatred for SMG4 always returns him down the path of villainy.
  • The Twins (2022): Lucas is manipulative, remorseless, sadistic, and impulsive. He tattles on Lake every chance he can get for even the smallest infractions just to build up a reputation as him as the good brother and Lucas as the bad brother. He takes enjoyment out of Lucas' misery and doesn't apologize even when confronted. He brashly goes into the junkyard after school, knowing it's against the rules.
