The Scrappy / Epic Rap Battles of History

Go To

  • Sarah Palin, due to her ear-splitting voice and her poor to the point of bizarre bad lines.
  • Lady Gaga, due to her entire portrayal being based on the now-transphobic joke that she was secretly male (to the point of literally being played by a man in drag) and having next to no good lines outside of “Governor of Alaska? That’s like the principal of a home school”.
  • Thing One and Thing Two aren't popular with the general public due to their annoying high-pitched voices, their garish make-up, how Ax-Crazy they act toward Shakespeare, and their bad lines that only consist of violent threats with no variety. This is especially considering the fact said lines came after Shakespeare's second verse, considered to be one of the most impressive in the series' history.
  • Batman's portrayal is one of the most criticized in the series, as he is portrayed as a dumb jock with an annoying voice and weak lines, sharing few of the traits of his actual character. ERB themselves have recognized this, as the second Peter vs. Lloyd rap battle has Lloyd taking two potshots at their portrayal of him.
  • Adam and Eve star in one of the least liked battles in the series due to almost all their lines being hackneyed jokes about gender stereotypes. Eve is usually seen as the better as the two due to the actress portraying her, while Adam is usually looked further down on due to having way lamer lines and poor delivery.
  • Post-transition Caitlyn Jenner. Her final verse was much longer than the Hulk's, making it very one-sided. However, a majority of viewers either didn’t like Jenner's lines or that the battle was written with an on-the-nose bias in her favor rather than giving the two characters a real rap-battle-style balanced irreverent back-and-forth, and gave the win to the Hulk. In contrast, the first exchange of the battle between her pre-transition self and Bruce Banner is almost unanimously considered to be better than what follows after they transform.
  • Thanos, big time — especially since most fans agree he was flat-out curb stomped by J. Robert Oppenheimer. The lines referring to both the Thanos Copter and his appearance in Fortnite ("Fortnite's Dopest Dancer") were considered a massive self-destruct on his end.
